With a lean and collaborative team, the company focuses on delivering high-quality custom homes while maintaining strong project oversight, operational efficiency, and attention to detail.\nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in residential construction to oversee multiple custom home projects from initial planning through completion.\nIn this role, you will work closely with the Director of Construction, Design Manager, and sales and estimating teams to ensure projects stay on track, within budget, and aligned with established timelines and scopes of work.\nThe ideal candidate has hands-on construction knowledge, strong organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate both office operations and field activities. You should be comfortable managing multiple projects, communicating with different stakeholders, and maintaining accountability in a remote work environment.\nResponsibilities\nOversee residential construction projects from scope development through completion.\n\nDevelop and coordinate project scopes of work in collaboration with field leadership and design teams.\n\nMonitor project schedules, budgets, costs, and performance metrics to ensure projects remain on track.\n\nCoordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field crews to maintain smooth project execution.\n\nWork closely with the Director of Construction, Design Manager, and sales and estimating teams.\n\nManage requests for quotations (RFQs), permits, project documentation, and other administrative requirements.\n\nCoordinate materials management and ensure resources are available when needed.\n\nTrack project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and proactively implement solutions.\n\nMaintain clear communication across internal teams and external stakeholders.\n\nManage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality, timelines, and operational standards are met.\n\nRequirements\n8+ years of project management experience, preferably in residential or custom home construction.\n\nStrong understanding of residential construction processes, terminology, and workflows.\n\nExperience managing teams or coordinating multiple stakeholders within a structured project management environment.\n\nBackground in civil engineering, construction management, building trades, or a related field is strongly preferred.\n\nExperience overseeing construction schedules, budgets, scopes of work, and project execution.\n\nStrong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.\n\nFluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.\n\nAbility to work independently while collaborating with a distributed team.\n\nComfortable working full-time (40 hours per week) during U.S. Central Time hours.\n\nNice to Have\nHands-on experience working on construction sites or in the building trades.\n\nPrevious experience with custom home builds, single-family residential construction, or multifamily projects.\n\nExperience managing construction or estimating teams.\n\nFamiliarity with architectural drawings, design processes, and construction planning.\n\nExperience using Buildertrend or other residential construction project management software.\n\nAbility to quickly learn and adapt to new project management tools and systems.\n\nWhat
