Every week there are hundreds of things outside of writing code and talking to customers that need to happen for the company to move quickly. Your job is to own them.\nThat could mean planning a company offsite, coordinating a candidate’s visit to San Francisco, helping us move into a new office, researching something for a founder, negotiating with a vendor, organizing a developer event, or making sure the office is stocked before the team gets in.\nAs AgentMail grows, the problems will change. We want someone who gets excited by that.\nYou’ll own things like\nCompany operations. Make AgentMail an exceptionally well-run place to work. Own our office, vendors, equipment, supplies, food, onboarding logistics, and the hundred small things that make a company function.\nFounder operations. Help the founders execute quickly on things that fall between functions - research, coordination, travel, reservations, scheduling, logistics, and one-off projects.\nHiring & candidate experience. Help us create an incredible experience for people interviewing at AgentMail, from coordinating visits to candidate dinners and work trials.\nEvents & community. Help organize team events, developer dinners, hackathons, offsites, celebrations, and other things we want to make happen.\nSpecial projects. Take ambiguous problems and run with them. These might have nothing to do with one another. That’s part of the job.\nThe common thread is ownership.\nWho we’re looking for\nWe’re looking for someone unusually resourceful.\nYou:\nSee a problem and immediately start figuring out how to solve it.\n\nDon’t need a playbook before you can act.\n\nAre extremely organized and reliable.\n\nMove quickly without becoming sloppy.\n\nHave excellent judgment.\n\nHave excellent taste.\n\nNotice details other people miss.\n\nAre comfortable picking up the phone, negotiating, researching, and asking for what you need.\n\nCan juggle ten completely different things without losing track of them.\n\nCommunicate clearly and concisely.\n\nYou don’t need to have worked in operations before.\nWhy AgentMail\nYou’ll work directly alongside the founders and early team of a fast-growing developer infrastructure company.\nYou’ll get exposure to almost every part of building a company: hiring, recruiting, finance, events, people, vendors, operations, launches, and whatever comes next.\nYou’ll have an unusual amount of responsibility early.\nAnd there isn’t a predetermined box you have to stay inside.\nAs the company grows, we expect this role to grow with it. If you become exceptional at recruiting, you can own more recruiting. If you’re great at company operations, you can build that function.
