In this role, you will contribute to the design, development and scale-up of chemical processes that enable the production of innovative materials for a wide range of applications.\nAbout the team\nThe Chemical Process Development group (CPD) is a key part of the Materials Technology Centre, representing the core of our chemical expertise with over 150 years of innovation.\nThe team plays a crucial role in bridging discovery research and industrial manufacturing by developing robust, scalable and sustainable chemical processes.\nFor this department we are looking for a (m/f/x)\nSenior Chemist Chemical Process Development\nJob summary\nAs senior chemist you are responsible for managing multiple research projects as well as problem solving of critical cases.\nYou will design and develop chemical processes that are technically feasible, cost-efficient and scalable towards industrial production.\nYou will define experimental programs and ensure a structured and data-driven approach.\nYou will organize and oversee laboratory work, including experimental planning, execution, analysis and reporting of results.\nYou will implement innovative technologies for scale-up from laboratory to industrial scale.\nYou will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support process transfer to production.\nYou will manage multiple projects and ensure clear stakeholder communication.\nYou will ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental standards, inline with our Agfa processes and standards.\nAsSeniorchemist you have the following Profile\nYou hold a Master’s degree in Organic and/or polymer Chemistry or a related field. A PhD is an asset.\nYou are proactive, hands-on and enjoy working in a laboratory environment.\nYou are a strong communicator and team player in a multidisciplinary setting.\nYou are curious and eager to learn, with a strong motivation to deepen your expertise in process technologies and chemical synthesis.
