This role is a player-coach position where you will not only guide and mentor the team but also actively contribute as an engineer. You will help shape our cloud-native transformation, drive the adoption of GitOps and DevSecOps practices, and ensure the efficiency, scalability, and security of our development and deployment pipelines.\nKey Responsibilities:\nTeam Leadership & CoachingLead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.\nSupport career development and skill-building within the team.\nAct as a bridge between DevOps, Architecture, and Development teams to align strategies and execution.\n\nHands-On DevOps EngineeringMaintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Gradle.\nOptimize infrastructure for cloud-native deployments, ensuring scalability and reliability.\nSupport and refine build automation, infrastructure as code (IaC), and containerization strategies.\nDevelop and maintain observability solutions, ensuring reliability, security, and performance of services.\n\nCloud-Native & GitOps TransformationDrive the transition towards GitOps practices, automating deployment workflows and reducing manual interventions.\nImplement DevSecOps principles to enhance security automation and compliance within CI/CD pipelines.\nGuide the team in leveraging cloud-native architectures and technologies effectively.\n\n Collaboration & Stakeholder ManagementWork closely with development teams (Java & Angular) to enhance developer experience and streamline software delivery.\nPartner with security teams to embed security-by-design principles into DevOps workflows.\nCommunicate technical strategies and progress to senior management and stakeholders.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience:\n5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.\n 2+ years of leadership experience (formal or informal) in a DevOps or software engineering team.\nStrong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure-as-code.\nExperience with Jenkins, Bitbucket, Gradle, and GitOps tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux).\nSolid background in cloud-native architectures and deployment strategies.\nFamiliarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.\nUnderstanding of DevSecOps best practices and security automation.\nStrong collaboration and communication skills, able to work across teams and geographies.\nNice to Have:\nExperience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their DevOps toolchains.\nKnowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).\nBackground in performance tuning and system reliability engineering (SRE).\nFamiliarity with progressive delivery techniques (e.g., feature flags, canary releases).\nLocation: Ghent, Belgium (hybrid working)\nWhat We Offer:\nA collaborative and technically engaging environment.\nOpportunities to lead and shape the future of our DevOps practices.\nSupport for training and professional development.\nCompetitive salary and benefits package.\nIf you're a passionate DevOps leader looking to make an impact in a fast-moving, cloud-native environment, we’d love to hear from you!\nWe offer a rewarding career in a field that impacts lives, the opportunity to work with a talented and committed team of individuals, training and career development programs, and a competitive compensation and benefits package.
