As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for the testing, servicing, fault-finding, maintenance and repair of major events equipment, including UPS, solar, EV charging and power distribution systems, ensuring maximum equipment availability, compliance with safety standards and operational readiness for deployment at global events.\nPower without pause. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.\nWhat you’ll do as an Electrical Technician:\nCarry out the testing, inspection, servicing and maintenance of a diverse fleet of electrical equipment, including UPS systems, solar solutions, power distribution equipment, cables and lighting, ensuring equipment is ready for deployment on critical customer projects.\nApply your electrical fault-finding expertise to diagnose and resolve issues across a wide range of equipment, helping to maximise reliability, performance and operational uptime.\nSupport workshop operations through the safe movement, loading and unloading of equipment, contributing to the efficient turnaround of assets for customer use.\nUtilise industry-standard low-voltage test equipment and follow best-practice repair, testing and inspection procedures to ensure compliance with Aggreko's high safety and quality standards.\nTake ownership of tasks with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with colleagues, maintaining accurate stock control and supporting the management of spare parts and workshop inventory.\nYou are:\nQualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent), with a solid technical foundation and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions.\nExperienced in electrical servicing, maintenance and fault-finding, with the ability to work on a variety of electrical equipment in a fast-paced operational environment.\nHighly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and workloads effectively, ensuring equipment is serviced, tested and ready to meet customer demands.\nCommitted to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance, with a proactive approach to following procedures and best practice.\nFlexible and customer-focused, with a willingness to travel and support projects outside of normal working hours when required, helping to ensure the successful delivery of critical customer and event operations.\nHere’s what you’ll get:\nA highly competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including a generous pension plan, annual bonus opportunities, and Life Assurance.\nAnnual leave allowance of 30 days plus 3 public holidays, with the flexibility to buy or sell additional days to suit your lifestyle\nOngoing training and personalised development pathways to help you grow your skills and progress in your career\nPaid volunteering days, giving you the chance to make a positive impact in your local community\nAccess to our Employee Assistance Programme, offering confidential support and resources to promote your wellbeing and a healthy work-life balance\nOur people are can-do, positive, resilient and persistent.
