As the technical representative for Aggreko’s KSA Events business, you will play a key role in major and complex event opportunities, providing technical expertise, identifying innovative solutions and ensuring your designs meet the customer’s requirements, as well as the Aggreko and wider international engineering standards.\nWhat you’ll do as an Event Design Engineer:\nDesign and develop temporary power and temperature control solutions for small to large-scale events across the Middle East\nDrive technical conversations directly with customers and key event stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical engineering solutions \nSupport projects from initial concept and customer engagement through detailed engineering, equipment selection, tender support, installation and delivery\nDesign power packages to suit project needs and maximize use of Aggreko fleet products.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, production companies and key industry partners\nProduce design packs including single-line diagrams (SLDs), site layout drawings, calculations, bills of materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation as per event-specific requirements\nEnsure all designs comply with Aggreko and international engineering standards, regulatory requirements and industry best practices\nCarry out complete engineering handover to Project Management and Operations, ensuring installation requirements and key technical risks are clearly communicated\nSupport strategic bids, tenders and major customer opportunities with technical expertise and solution development\nRegularly working outside of normal working hours to the demand of the events industry\nCollaborate with Engineering Team on design support requirements for the complete project life cycle.\nEnsure design complies with relevant codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, local regulations)\nAggreko places a strong emphasis on health, operational safety and environmental protection. It is a requirement and moral obligation of each employee to be actively committed and accountable for compliance to the Aggreko Health, Safety & Environmental policies, operating procedures and compliance to local legislation.\nYou are:\nElectrical/ Mechanical Engineering Degree\nMinimum of 5 years’ design experience in a Power Generation/ Utility/ Oil & Gas Industry.\nFluent in English, a second language would be an advantage.\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills.\nStrong computer design skills.\nProficiency in using AutoCAD\nExperience in electrical or mechanical tools/software\nRelevant experience in electrical or mechanical design engineering, preferably with temporary power and temperature control solutions\nStrong understanding of generators, LV distribution, protection, earthing and associated electrical infrastructure\nKnowledge of HVAC and temperature control systems including chillers, AHUs, pumps, ductwork and cooling calculations would be beneficial\nExperience working in the live events industry is preferred\nInterested in emerging technologies such as BESS, solar and low-carbon power\nStrong customer-facing and relationship building skills, having direct experience working with internal and external stakeholders\nHere’s what you’ll get:\nCompetitive compensation package\nIndustry-leading benefit plans including medical insurance\nContinuous training and development with career growth opportunities\nSafety-focused culture\nOur people are can-do, positive, resilient and persistent.
