This is a site-based role working a 2/1 roster, with travel arranged from Brisbane.\nReporting to the Lead Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of mechanical works packages, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and project schedules.\nBenefits:\nOpportunity to be pivotal in the delivery of a land mark Renewable Power Project\nCompetitive compensation - Base Salary + Site Uplift + Super +Bonus\nSafety-focused culture\nA range of career development opportunities\nWhat you’ll do as Mechanical Project Engineer;\n Manage and coordinate mechanical scope of works, including structural/mechanical infrastructure installation, piping, generators and associated fuel systems. Liaise and coordinate with other disciplines (civil, electrical etc.)\nReview and interpret mechanical design documentation, drawings, and specifications\nCoordinate subcontractors and mechanical trades to ensure works are delivered safely, on program, and to specification\nPrepare and manage mechanical work packages, including scopes of work, procurement, and construction schedules\nLiaise with client representatives, engineers, designers and other project stakeholders\nMonitor and report on progress, cost, and quality against project targets\nIdentify and manage project risks, variations, and changes in scope\nSupport pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including liaison with commissioning engineers\nEnsure compliance with relevant Australian Standards, engineering codes, and site-specific HSE requirements\nContribute to the development of construction methodologies and ITPs for mechanical works\nParticipate in site safety inductions, toolbox talks, and incident investigations as required\nYou are:\nTertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Degree or Advanced Diploma)\nMinimum 2 years' Project Delivery experience in a mechanical project engineering role within construction, mining, or heavy industrial environments\nExperience working with EPC or construction contractors on resource sector projects highly regarded\nDemonstrated experience delivering fixed plant, structural/mechanical, or piping installation works on greenfield or brownfield sites desirable.\nStrong understanding of relevant Australian Standards and mechanical safety requirements (lifting, pressure equipment, isolation procedures)\nProficient in MS Office and document control systems.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills\nValid driver's license; willingness to travel and work FIFO/DIDO on a 2/1 roster initially (subject to change).\nCurrent Construction Induction (White Card); mine-specific site inductions can be completed prior to start\nOur people are can-do, positive, resilient and persistent.
