This role supports both field and service center operations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations, technical standards, and customer expectations.\nPower without pause. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.\nWhat you’ll do:\nYou’ll be based out of our Mendon, MA service center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle\nYou’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel\nPerform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, and/or oil free air compressors\nTroubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs\nYou will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites\nYou are:\nHigh School diploma/GED\n3-7 years of experience working on power generators equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.\nExperience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.\nBased on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card\nValid driver’s license\nAbility to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.\nHere's what you'll get:\nFull-time with potential for overtime and/or weekends\nAnnual bonus program, Personal use vehicle\nHourly range $36.00-$46.00 an hour\nNo premium cost medical plan option available\nRobust technical training programs, in person and virtual, on diesel, gas, compressed air, electrical, controls, oil free air compressors, HVAC, microgrid & storage and more\nCareer growth opportunities and tuition reimbursement available\nSafety-focused culture working on brand new technology.\nOther essential job requirements\nAvailability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts\nMust be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices\nMust be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level\nMust have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders\nMust be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs.), push/pull (80 lbs.), carry (60 lbs.), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs.), stoop, kneel and squat\nOur people are can-do, positive, resilient, and persistent.
