AGI Rosenort is an industry leader in grain augers designed for efficiency and durability with high capacity.\nThe Opportunity\nWe are seeking a highly motivated Co-op student who is looking for a fast-paced, challenging and rewarding work term. The position will be responsible for assisting in implementing Lean initiatives in our 200,000 ft2 vertically integrated facility that includes lasers, brakes, manual and robotic welding, powder coat painting, assembly, and shipping departments. This will include a mix of time studies, monitoring, analysis, communication, and production and design activities. Every day will offer something new. Plus, there is no rush hour traffic or paying for parking downtown, as our office is located in Rosenort, a quiet rural community only 20 minutes south of the city.\nResponsibilities\nSupport Continuous Improvement and Engineeringinitiatives focused on improving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.\nPartner with production employees, supervisors, and support departments to identify improvement opportunities and eliminate waste from manufacturing processes.\nConduct process observations, workflow assessments, and time studies to identify inefficiencies.\nAssist in root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, and A3 Problem Solving.\nDevelop and maintain standard work documentation, visual management systems, and work instructions to improve process consistency and employee training.\nParticipate in waste reduction, process standardization, and operational excellence initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.\nFollow AGI’s Code of Business Ethics and related compliance policies\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications \nTwo years of university education in engineering, ideally mechanical.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).\nSelf-motivated and able to work independently as well as in teams.\nKnowledge of steel manufacturing processes\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and experience implementing process improvements (5S, Kanban, VSM, etc.)\nExcellent communication and problem-solving skills.\nWhy AGI?\nWe’re leading the way in global food supply chain solutions and here’s how:\nWe’re the leading global expert in providing farmers, processors and commercial customers with the right equipment and customized engineering solutions to produce, protect and deliver the world’s grain, fertilizer, seed, feed and food supplies.
