Join our team and thrive in a stable and supportive environment that offers career development and upward mobility.\nThe Opportunity\nWe are actively seeking a Field Service Technician to join our growing team at AGI Saskatoon, a division of AGI. This position is responsible for repairing and servicing a wide variety of portable and permanent agriculture machinery. The main areas of focus include meeting service requirements, station set up, health & safety and quality control.\nThe Team\nThis position will work closely with the entire AGI Saskatoon Team. The Field Service Technician will report directly to the Branch Manager.\nResponsibilities\nThe Field Service Technician is responsible for the following but limited to:\nRepair and service a wide variety of portable agriculture machinery such as augers, conveyors, post pounders, grain vacuums, and seed treaters \nSafe operation, maintenance, and inventory management of a service vehicle\nIn the field repairs on permanent commercial and non-commercial grain and fertilizer handling job sites\nWork order creation and repair documentation\nParts knowledge, interpretation of parts catalogues and parts ordering for repairs \nAssist in product assembly processes when required \nConfer with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve repair or assembly problems. \nMaintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment, to like new appearance, according to maintenance plans and established procedures \nMaintain a positive work atmosphere \nContinue to grow lean knowledge \nEnsure that safe work practices are followed and adhered to\nQualifications\nTwo or more years of agriculture or heavy-duty repair experience\nMechanically inclined a must\nKnowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.\nAble to work independently, with minimal supervision, while part of a team.\nGood organizational skills.\nAbility to multi-task.\nWillingness to learn and take instruction.\nCapable of troubleshooting and problem solving.\nPhysically able to lift to 50lbs.\nProficiency in hydraulic system and small gas engine diagnostics and repairs\nExperience repairing augers, conveyors, post pounders, grain vacuums, and seed treaters\nClean driving abstract\nExceptional customer service skills\nExperience working on commercial sites\nWillingness to work unconventional hours when required\nExperience working safely near moving machinery or hazardous areas\nWhat’s In It For You\nFamily friendly work schedules available\nEmployee Share Purchase Program\nBenefits and RRSP matching\nBoot Allowance\nTraining and development opportunities\nAGI is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
