This position drives operational excellence by optimizing production workflows, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with internal and external quality standards.\nThis role serves as the key liaison between Engineering, Production, and Quality functions to ensure product integrity, efficiency, safety, cost control, and customer satisfaction. The position combines hands-on engineering expertise with quality system leadership and cross-functional collaboration.\nResponsibilities:\nManufacturing Engineering & Process Improvement\nReview upcoming production and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and reports.\nAnalyze manufacturing processes and implement workflow improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and cost effectiveness.\nLead continuous improvement initiatives (LEAN principles preferred).\nDesign and develop manufacturing aids, jigs, fixtures, and process improvements.\nCoordinate engineering changes and ensure clear communication to production teams.\nConduct production performance analysis (routings, bottlenecks, efficiencies).\nInvestigate production issues, complaints, and process shortfalls and implement corrective actions.\nParticipate in design reviews and recommend design modifications for manufacturability.\nCollaborate with Engineering and Production to implement standardized assembly instructions and procedures.\nManage projects related to process improvements and engineering changes.\nDevelop, implement, and maintain the company Quality Management System (QMS).\nMaintain and update quality manuals, procedures, and documentation.\nAdminister the Corrective Action Report (CAR) system; evaluate root causes and verify sustainability of corrective actions.\nConduct and/or oversee internal audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.\nLead annual management review process and prepare quality performance summaries.\nMonitor quality performance metrics and report results to leadership.\nCollaborate with Purchasing to ensure vendor quality performance meets accreditation requirements.\nOversee welder qualifications, calibration systems, and quality documentation controls.\nInterpret specifications and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards.\nServe as liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality.\nGuide and manage employees by setting expectations, coaching, and providing leadership to continuous improvement teams.\nAssist managers and supervisors with compliance to quality and manufacturing standards.\nCoordinate quality and process training programs and evaluate effectiveness.\nBuild relationships with customers, vendors, consultants, and industry organizations.\nEnsure customer concerns, discrepancies, and nonconformances are addressed promptly and effectively.\nQualifications:\n5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred.\n2+ years of quality assurance or quality systems experience in a manufacturing environment.\nAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality, Welding, or related field preferred.\nLEAN Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.\nExperience in metal fabrication and mechanical equipment manufacturing preferred.\nStrong knowledge of production processes, blueprints, welding standards (AWS/CWB), and quality control systems.\nExperience with BOMs, routings, and standard cost environments.\nProficiency in 2D/3D design software (Inventor preferred).\nStrong project management capabilities.\nProficient in Microsoft Office and CAD software.\nWhy AGI?\nWe’re leading the way in global food supply chain solutions and here’s how:\nWe’re the leading global expert in providing farmers, processors and commercial customers with the right equipment and customized engineering solutions to produce, protect and deliver the world’s grain, fertilizer, seed, feed and food supplies.
