The Production Supervisor leads a team of unionized hourly employees in the plant. Through coordinating with various departments, the Production Supervisor ensures that production requirements are met to assist in the smooth flow of order to delivery, all while adhering and contributing to a strong safety culture.\nResponsibilities:\nEnsure all safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices are followed\nEnsure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, standards, and company policies\nParticipate in Operational Health & Safety Committee meetings and safety initiatives\nConduct safety, quality, and LEAN audits and investigations\nLead, coach, and support a team of unionized employees to achieve production, quality, and safety objectives\nProvide training, cross-training, and ongoing development opportunities to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and workforce flexibility\nCoordinate and schedule production activities to meet operational requirements\nIssue work orders to crew leaders and ensure accurate completion and closure of work orders\nMonitor daily production performance and provide regular status updates\nParticipate in daily production meetings\nAssist Engineering in troubleshooting and resolving production-related issues\nAssist Administration with purchasing activities and material planning\nWork collaboratively with other departments to support efficient operations and the timely delivery of customer orders\nReview and approve employee time and attendance records\nApprove and coordinate employee vacation schedules\nAssist with disciplinary processes as required\nIdentify and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency\nProvide backup support for other branch positions as required\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned\nQualifications:\nExperience in Manufacturing, Agriculture, Mechanical, or Industrial industries\nInnovative, ability to identify and implement new processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the team and project\nDeveloped communication skills, written/oral\nStrong interpersonal skills\nSelf-motivated\nEnthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment\nDeveloped decision making skills\nThorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards etc.\nProficient in working with computers and various software applications\nWhy AGI?\nWe’re leading the way in global food supply chain solutions and here’s how:\nWe’re the leading global expert in providing farmers, processors and commercial customers with the right equipment and customized engineering solutions to produce, protect and deliver the world’s grain, fertilizer, seed, feed and food supplies.
