Supporting multiple active construction projects, the Safety Manager provides field management through regular jobsite visits, safety training, incident management, and practical risk solutions to help ensure every employee returns home safely each day.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead and administer AGI's company-wide Safety Program, including the Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).\nPromote a proactive safety culture through leadership, coaching, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nMaintain a visible safety presence by conducting regular jobsite safety inspections, audits, and observations.\nIdentify hazards, conduct job hazard analyses (JHAs) and project-specific risk assessments, and work with project teams to implement effective corrective actions.\nDevelop, schedule, and deliver safety training, new hire orientations, and required regulatory training.\nMaintain current knowledge of OSHA, SWPPP, and other applicable regulations, ensuring company compliance and adoption of industry best practices.\nMaintain employee training records, certifications, OSHA logs, safety documentation, and other required regulatory records.\nLead the reporting, investigation, and documentation of workplace injuries, near misses, vehicle accidents, property damage, and other safety incidents, ensuring timely corrective actions.\nMonitor safety performance metrics, evaluate program effectiveness, prepare reports for leadership, and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and safety initiatives.\nBuild strong relationships with employees, subcontractors, and project teams while supporting company-wide safety goals and fostering a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.\nWhat You Bring\nMinimum of 5+ years of commercial construction safety experience, including responsibility for multiple concurrent projects.\nThorough knowledge of OSHA construction safety regulations and industry best practices.\nWorking knowledge of SWPPP requirements and Best Management Practices (BMPs).\nStrong understanding of commercial construction means, methods, sequencing, and jobsite operations.\nOSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.\nCurrent CPR/First Aid/AED Certification.\nCPR/First Aid/AED Instructor Certification preferred.\nValid driver's license with the ability to travel between project sites.\nGood communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.\nStrong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams).\nExperience with CMiC, or similar construction management software preferred.\nWhy AGI\nStrong reputation and long-term client relationships.\nDiverse commercial work across healthcare, grocery, retail, and other sectors.\nValues-driven culture with a leadership team that values family, safety, experience and teamwork.\nCompensation & Benefits\nCompensation: $90,000 - $120,000\nBonus: Performance-based bonus opportunity\nVehicle: Vehicle Allowance, Gas Card\nBenefits: Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), fuel, and PTO.\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAGI General Contracting is an equal opportunity employer and values individuals who bring professionalism, leadership, and a commitment to building strong teams and strong relationships.
