This includes supporting predominantly Omnissa Horizon (formerly VMware Horizon) and some Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.\nJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nVDI Design & Implementation \nDesign and deploy VDI solutions, including planning, requirements analysis, implementation, training, and ongoing support. \nEngineer and maintain Microsoft OS baseline images for FBI endpoints, ensuring compliance with DISA STIG and FBI security standards. \nSupport mixed Windows and Linux environments. \nSystem Engineering & Support \nSupport server virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Nutanix). \nMaintain and update system documentation, including inventory, patch levels, and configuration details. \nProvide final-tier support and timely problem resolution. \nAutomate, Optimize, and create IaC using PowerShell and other tools \nDevelop and maintain automation scripts to streamline provisioning, patching, and maintenance. \nImplement orchestration tools to enhance deployment speed, standardization, and user experience. \nMonitor and optimize system and application performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks. \nAnalyze and improve Security & Compliance \nEnsure systems meet performance, security, availability, and user experience requirements. \nMaintain backup, recovery, and redundancy strategies. \nAssist with system accreditation and continuous monitoring. \nCollaboration & Documentation \nLiaise with vendors and internal IT teams for cross-team issue resolution. \nProvide real-time system performance dashboards and reporting. \nAuthor Tier 1 and Tier 2 support documentation and FAQs. \nConduct knowledge transfer and training for government staff using industry best practices. \nEducation and Background\nBachelor's degree preferred \nRequired Skills\nClearance\nCurrent Top-Secret Clearance with the capability of obtaining and maintaining CI-Poly to meet contract requirements. \nRequired Skills and Qualifications\n Minimum of 6 years experience with designing and implementing desktop virtualization, application virtualization, and virtual server platforms.\nExperience in largescale mission-critical IT environments \nPreferred Skills\nBachelor's degree preferred \nVirtualization Platforms: Omnissa Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, VMware vSphere, Nutanix \nScripting & Automation: Scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc) for provisioning, IaC orchestration, and system efficiency \nCertifications -
