To keep our data collection site running at full capacity, we are looking for a Robot Service Engineer (m/f/d) who keeps our robots, teleoperation devices and recording systems operational every day.\nIn this role, you will be the first technical contact on site. You will diagnose and fix hardware and software issues, maintain the robot fleet, and work closely with our R&D teams to resolve deeper technical problems quickly. Your work directly determines how much usable data the site can produce.\nThis position is ideal for someone with a hands-on technical mindset who enjoys troubleshooting, works systematically, and wants to grow with cutting-edge robotics and AI technology.\nYour Responsibilities\nOn-site Technical SupportProvide daily first-line technical support for robots, teleoperation devices, cameras and data recording systems on site.\nDiagnose and resolve hardware, software, network and calibration issues to minimize downtime.\nSupport teleoperators and project coordinators with technical questions during data collection.\n\nMaintenance & System SetupInstall, set up and calibrate robots and teleoperation workstations for new tasks.\nPerform preventive maintenance, replace parts and keep the robot fleet in working condition.\nMaintain records of faults, repairs and spare parts usage.\n\nR&D Collaboration & Issue ResolutionEscalate complex issues to R&D with clear reproduction steps, logs and data.\nTest and deploy software updates, fixes and new features on site, and give feedback on results.\nIdentify recurring problems and propose improvements to hardware, software and workflows.\n\nSafety & DocumentationEnsure robots and equipment are operated in line with safety and operational guidelines.\nWrite and update troubleshooting guides, SOPs and setup instructions for the site team.\n\nEssential Skills\nDegree or vocational training in mechatronics, electrical engineering, robotics, computer science or a related field.\nHands-on experience troubleshooting electromechanical systems, robots or industrial equipment.\nBasic knowledge of Linux, command line tools and reading system logs.\nStructured, independent way of working with strong attention to detail.\nGood communication skills in English; able to explain technical issues clearly to engineers and non-technical colleagues.\nBeneficial Skills\nExperience with robotic arms, ROS/ROS 2, or teleoperation systems.\nScripting skills in Python or Bash.\nKnowledge of cameras, sensors, networking or data pipelines.\nExperience in field service, technical support or a production / lab environment.\nWhat we offer\nA dynamic high-tech company, combined with financial soundness and world-class investors.\n\nJoin an interdisciplinary, international team with 60+ different nationalities in a collaborative work environment.\n\nLots of development opportunities as we continue to grow.\n\nChallenging tasks and impactful projects alongside experts that enable professional and personal growth.\n\nCorporate Benefits Program covering health, mobility, and learning for 100€ net per month.\n\nModern office facilities with a rooftop terrace overlooking Munich, free drinks & fruits, and regular company events contribute to a good working environment\n\nAbout us\nAgile Robots SE is an international high-tech company based in Munich, Germany with a production site in Kaufbeuren and more than 3500 employees worldwide.
