This role supports medium to large scale IT initiatives and strategic programs, ensuring alignment with federal policies, CPIC requirements, and NWS governance processes. The PM collaborates closely with government program managers, integrated project teams, and stakeholders to plan, execute, monitor, and report on project performance across the full lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and proactive problem solver, capable of managing complex projects in a dynamic environment.\nJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nDeliver program and project management support across NWS portfolios, programs, and IT initiatives.\nSupport planning, execution, monitoring, control, and project close out using industry standard project management principles.\nDevelop, update, and maintain project schedules, Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), risk registers, dashboards, and status reports.\nMonitor and manage cost, schedule, scope, performance metrics, risks, issues, and action items.\nSupport CPIC activities including investment reporting, baseline change requests, and data call responses.\nPrepare and maintain high quality project artifacts such as plans, briefings, reports, charters, SOPs, and business process documentation.\nFacilitate and support governance boards, IPT meetings, and stakeholder reviews.\nAssist with budget formulation, execution tracking, and financial reporting.\nSupport acquisition related activities such as RFIs, SOWs, RFPs, and procurement documentation (non inherently governmental functions only).\nCommunicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to technical teams, leadership, and executive level stakeholders.\nContribute to audits, independent assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nEducation and Background\nBachelor’s degree in business, management, IT, or a related field.\n5-8 years of experience supporting federal IT programs or projects.\nPMP® or equivalent project management certification.\nStrong understanding of portfolio, program, and project management frameworks and best practices.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Smartsheet, Visio, and cloud based collaboration tools.\nU.S. citizenship required to meet federal contract eligibility requirements.\nRequired Skills\nExceptional verbal and environment.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience supporting NOAA, NWS, or Department of Commerce initiatives.\nFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and hybrid project environments.\nExperience supporting cloud, enterprise IT, or infrastructure programs.\nExperience preparing responses to executive level reporting requirements and data calls.\nWorking Conditions\nWork performed in a professional office environment at NOAA facilities or remotely as approved.\nOccasional travel to NOAA locations in the Washington, DC Metro Area.Strength Demands\n\nWork is primarily sedentary.\nMay require short
