In this position, you will be on a team of application scientists supporting Agilent's North American Life Science and Applied Markets’ Atomic Spectroscopy Business. This position will travel throughout the US to support our clients. The ideal candidate will reside near the Agilent Center of Excellence office located in Wood Dale, IL (Chicago, IL area).\nKey Responsibilities:\nProviding pre-sales technical and application support for sales team members in competitive sales situations.\nPerform sample analyses and demonstrations for prospective customers using Agilent’s ICP-MS and ICP-QQQ Systems.\nPreparing and presenting technical information at professional seminars to potential customers.\nProviding phone and on-site post-sales technical and applications support to Agilent’s ICP-MS user base.\nPresenting the latest advancements in Atomic Spectroscopy at conferences, symposiums, and e-seminars\nWorking with Agilent’s Atomic Spectroscopy Product Specialists and Account Managers to develop technical sales strategies.\nContributing to developing new publications (Application Notes and peer-reviewed manuscripts) highlighting Agilent’s ICP-MS and ICP-QQQ platforms.\nProviding reports on activities and technical trends observed in the field regularly to Product and Field Marketing.\nPromoting Agilent’s ICP-MS platforms and aiding in the training of the sales force\nProviding pre- and post-sales support for systems in 21CFR-compliant environments\nThis position will be located at the Agilent Center of Excellence office in Wood Dale, IL.\nQualifications\nBachelor's, Master’s or PhD degree\n3+ years’ experience operating an ICP-MS or ICP-QQQ \nFamiliarity with major applications for ICP-MS, including Environmental, Specialty Chemicals, Semiconductor, Advanced Materials, Food, and Life Sciences (elemental speciation knowledge a plus).\nHands-on experience performing metals analyses at ultra-trace levels.\nExperience with ICP-MS analysis following EPA, FDA, USP, ASTM, or AOAC methodologies.\nFamiliarity with Atomic Absorption (AA), MP-AES, and ICP-OES are desirable.\nStrong computer skills and excellent technical written and oral presentation skills are essential.\nMust be a good team player and be able to work collaboratively on projects and sales opportunities.\nStrong project management experience and skills, able to meet deadlines while handling several different projects simultaneously.\nAvailable for flexible work schedules and up to 50% business travel throughout the US.\nThis position will be located at the Agilent Center of Excellence office in Wood Dale, IL.\nAdditional Details\nThis job has a full time weekly schedule. In the US, this position is eligible for reimbursement for personal vehicle usage.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $105,075.00 - $175,125.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
