This role partners with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, support new product introductions, resolve manufacturing challenges, and implement process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The primary focus of this position is the Gas Chromatography Column, Ultra Inert Liner, and Column Assembly production areas at the Folsom laboratory consumables manufacturing site.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport daily manufacturing operations through technical problem-solving and process improvements.\nInvestigate production and quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.\nCreate and maintain manufacturing documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.\nLead and support new product introductions, ensuring successful transfer from development to production.\nDevelop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve quality, productivity, and cost.\nCollaborate with R&D, Marketing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production teams to ensure manufacturability and product performance.\nInvestigate production and quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.\nCreate and maintain manufacturing documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.\nSupport quality, automation, and digital manufacturing initiatives.\nPartner with suppliers and vendors to improve product quality, supply continuity, and manufacturing efficiency.\nMaintain manufacturing data, including bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and ERP system records, as needed.\nLead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies.\nEnsure compliance with company quality systems, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering or a related technical field.\n4+ years of laboratory, manufacturing engineering or related experience.\nExperience with process improvement and problem-solving techniques.\nExperience with gas and/or liquid chromatography, including chromatographic principles and troubleshooting.\nStrong analytical, project management, and communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a cross-functional environment. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with new product introduction (NPI) and product transfers.\nKnowledge of ERP systems, BOM management, and manufacturing data systems.\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or data analytics.\nFamiliarity with regulated manufacturing environments and quality systems.\nKey Competencies\nProcess Improvement\nRoot Cause Analysis\nStatistical Data Analysis\nData-Driven Decision Making\nQuality & Compliance\nTechnical Problem Solving\nProject Leadership\nContinuous Improvement\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nAdditional Details\nThis job has a full time weekly schedule.
