The target product family is: ICP-MS Mass Spectrometers. You will contribute to process industrialization, technology transfer, and platform standardization, while working in a global, cross-functional environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn critical mechanical and/or mechatronic assemblies, printed circuit assemblies (PCA/PCBA), electronics modules, and complete products within the MSAT platform team -- throughout the full product lifecycle, from development through obsolescence.\nWork closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Global Manufacturing, Product Marketing, Global Supply Chain, Quality Science & Technology (QSAT) and other engineering groups.\nFor NPI projects, serve as the central Global Operations technical point of contact, representing the factory/production system.\nContribute as a key member of cross-functional project teams to transfer new products from development into serial production.\nApply DfX principles to address requirements for quality, cost, manufacturability, assembly, and automation in NPI projects.\nInnovation champion for impactful improvements to the Agilent manufacturing system. Demonstrate excellence in sharing innovations for scalability across Agilent’s factories.\nNew Product Introduction (NPI) Leadership & Industrialization\nAct as central Global Operations technical interface in NPI, representing the manufacturing operations and coordinating stakeholders.\nCounterpart to R&D Technical Lead and cross-functional business team.\nLead the transfer of new products from development into mass production.\nEnsure application of Design-for-Excellence (DfX) across cost, manufacturability, quality, and automation.\nCollaborate with R&D on product development, validation, and manufacturability readiness.\nInfluence design to ensure scalability, supply chain and process robustness, and manufacturability.\nDefine system-level manufacturing concepts, test strategies, and industrialization approach.\nLead prototype ramp, reliability validation, and evaluate launch readiness.\nTechnology Platform Engineering\nServe as Technical Owner on critical & key platform technology processes across the full lifecycle, from development to obsolescence.\nEnsures Value Creation across cost, quality, reliability, delivery, supply robustness, and global product engineering strategy.\nLead root cause investigations and systemic corrective actions for complex & cross-functional technical issues escalated from the factory team.\nEstablish risk-based qualification strategies and action plans for new step-function improvements.\nContribute to platform-level process standards and best practices.\nSupport development of scalable architectures for assembly, calibration, and testing.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. \nWorking knowledge of Chemistry and Physics are desired skills.\nRelevant 8+ years of experience in a comparable engineering role.\nStrong English communication skills, both written and spoken.\nProven project management and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.\nSolid understanding of complex technical systems and related development and manufacturing processes.\nExperience with technical drawings and CAD tools.\nExperience in PCBA design, manufacturing and qualification processes.\nKnowledge of engineering methods such as FMEA, DoE, DfX, Value Engineering (VE) or similar approaches is a plus.\nStructured, goal-oriented, and self-driven way of working.\nAbility to analyze complex technical challenges and develop practical, innovative solutions.\nExcellent teamwork and communication skills, especially in international and cross-functional settings.\nStrong ownership mindset and readiness to take responsibility for technical decisions and project outcomes.\nAdditional Details\nThis job has a full time weekly schedule.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
