Identifies and evaluates alternative materials or suppliers to maintain competitive quality, assurance of supply and/or pricing of piece-parts. Provide technical support for NPI (New Product Introduction) & Product Transfer. Assists manufacturing in resolving material related issues, and also provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.\nResponsibilities:\nProvides technical support in terms of specification interpretation, adequacy of existing documentation, disposition of non-conforming materials, and training on the usage of all inspection measuring equipment.\nIdentifies and plans for inspection and test requirements needed for adequate assessment of the quality of incoming piece-parts.\nAnalyzes inspection, evaluation and test data. Feedback quality performance and follow-up on quality issues with suppliers.\nActive involvement in quality improvement program with suppliers.\nLeads in sourcing for substitute/ alternative materials to achieve cost savings, ensuring assurance of supply and / or improve quality of piece-parts.\nAssists manufacturing in evaluating material related issues to ensure correct disposition of non-conformance materials.\nQualifications\nBachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical & Engineering, Mechatronics, Materials Engineering Sciences or equivalent with minimum 3-5 years related experience.\nExcellent communication skills and able to work with all levels.\nFlexible in switching roles, responsibility & new task when needed.\nA desire to work under aggressive deadlines, fast paced & collaborate environment.\nResourcefulness, attention to details, demonstrate sound analysis skill and offering solutions.\nAdditional Details\nThis job has a full time weekly schedule.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
