Information about Agilent is available at www.agilent.com\nThe Application Support Engineer, Bio Pharma- CSD Division will be responsible for providing technical and application support for Agilent's Chemistries and Supplies Division (CSD) portfolio, including chromatography columns, sample preparation products, consumables, reagents, and biopharma workflow solutions. The role focuses on enabling customer success through application consulting, method optimization support, troubleshooting, customer training, and close collaboration with sales, service, and product teams.\nThe successful candidate will possess strong analytical chemistry knowledge, hands-on experience with Bio-Pharma workflows, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and a customer-centric mindset. This position plays a critical role in helping customers maximize the performance and value of Agilent CSD products while driving customer satisfaction and business growth.\n.\nKey Responsibilities\nApplication & Technical Support\nProvide application consultation and solutions for biopharmaceutical customers.\nGood working experience and knowledge about Biopharma workflows like proteins, peptides, mAbs, antibody-drug conjugates, oligonucleotides, glycans, amino acids etc.\nProvide guidance for biopharma characterization and impurity-monitoring needs such as aggregate analysis, charge variants, intact and subunit analysis, peptide mapping, glycan analysis, and related critical quality attribute workflows.\nAssist customers in achieving optimal method performance through product selection and application recommendations.\nSupport issue resolution by working closely with customers, field service engineers, and technical support teams. \nMethod Development & Optimization\nSupport customers in developing, transferring, and optimizing analytical methods using Agilent chromatography columns and consumables.\nProvide recommendations on sample preparation, chromatographic separation, method robustness, and productivity improvements.\nDemonstrate best practices for improving analytical performance and laboratory efficiency. \nCustomer Training & Education\nConduct customer training programs, workshops, seminars, and webinars on chromatography applications and consumable usage.\nDevelop and deliver application-focused educational content, including technical guides, application notes, presentations, and training materials.\nPromote best practices for method development, troubleshooting, and instrument-consumable integration. \nCustomer Engagement & Success\nPartner with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide application consultation.\nBuild strong relationships with customers across pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, laboratories.\nAct as the voice of the customer to influence future product and application design. \nEnsure a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive follow-up and continuous technical support.\nIdentify opportunities to improve customer workflows and laboratory productivity using Agilent solutions.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nCollaborate with Sales, Marketing, Service, Product Management, and Global Application teams to address customer needs.\nProvide customer feedback, market intelligence, and application insights to support product development and portfolio enhancement initiatives.\nSupport new product introductions and technical marketing activities.\nMarket & Competitive Intelligence\nStay current with industry trends, regulatory developments, emerging analytical techniques, and competitive technologies.\nMonitor application trends in chromatography and related analytical workflows.\nSupport business growth initiatives through identification of customer challenges and opportunities. \nQualifications\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.\nMinimum 5 years of relevant laboratory, applications, technical support, or customer-facing experience.\nHands-on experience with HPLC, UHPLC, LC/MS, GC, and/or GC/MS techniques.\nExperience in method development, troubleshooting, and analytical workflow optimization.\nKnowledge of chromatography consumables, sample preparation products, and related biopharma laboratory workflows is highly desirable.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong academic understanding of Protein and peptide analysis, Biologics characterization, Chromatography principles, Regulatory expectations for biopharmaceutical products \nAbility to troubleshoot analytical methods and chromatography-related issues.\nFamiliarity with pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical markets.\nProficiency in scientific data interpretation and problem-solving.\nSoft Skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong presentation and customer engagement capabilities.\nAbility to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural environments.\nCustomer-focused approach with a passion for helping customers succeed.\nStrong organizational and project management skills. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with biopharma characterization workflows involving proteins, monoclonal antibodies, peptides, oligonucleotides, glycans, or related biomolecules.\nExperience in a regulated pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical laboratory, CRO, CDMO, or biologics manufacturing environment.\nExperience with customer demonstrations, proof-of-concept projects, competitive conversions, technical seminars, or scientific publications.\nAdditional Details\nThis job has a full time weekly schedule.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
