This is a full-time permanent position located in Windsor, Nova Scotia.\nThis position works 12-hour shifts (long week/short week) rotating between days and nights.\nThe candidate will be responsible for:\nPerforming analyses using instrumental techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-VIS, PCR, Electrophoretic assays, ELISA (Plate assays). \nMaintaining accurate, real-time records of all laboratory activities. \nPerforming required calculations, by hand or with use of spreadsheets or validated computer systems. \nPerforming routine maintenance and calibration of analytical instruments and documenting these activities. \nCompleting paperwork/data entry for the release of materials, including status labels and certificates of analysis. \nEnsuring appropriate tracking and logging of samples. \nIdentifying test results which are out of specification and alerting a manager or supervisor when this occurs. \nSupporting analytical method validation/verification. \nTechnical writing of SOPs including testing procedures and sampling handling instructions. \nAdditional duties assigned, based on business needs and the department supervisor’s request. \nQualifications\nThe successful candidate for this position should have:\nDiploma from a recognized Chemical Technology program.\nBachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline preferred.\nTechnical proficiency with laboratory instrumentation such as GC, HPLC, UV-VIS, PCR, Plate reader preferred.\nKnowledge of cGMP guidelines an asset.\nAdditional Details\nThis job has a full time weekly schedule.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $49,848.00 - $77,888.00/yr CAD plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits.
