The successful candidate will work closely with functional teams, solution architects, business stakeholders, and implementation partners to design and deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable SAP solutions.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProvide technical leadership for SAP projects, enhancements, integrations, and modernization initiatives.\nLead technical solution design and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.\nProvide hands-on technical expertise across SAP ABAP, ABAP Objects, enhancements, interfaces, workflows, APIs, IDocs, OData, CDS Views, and related SAP technologies.\nProvide technical leadership for the transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA and adoption of modern SAP architecture and development practices.\nPromote SAP Clean Core principles, custom-code optimization, and modern extensibility approaches.\nReview technical designs and development approaches to ensure quality, consistency, performance, and adherence to development standards.\nPartner with functional teams, solution architects, integration teams, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.\nProvide technical leadership for SAP integrations with enterprise applications and cloud platforms.\nEstablish and promote SAP technical standards, development guidelines, governance, documentation, and best practices.\nProvide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to internal team members and external development partners.\nCollaborate with SAP and strategic implementation partners on solution architecture, S/4HANA transformation, upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.\nEvaluate emerging SAP technologies and recommend opportunities to simplify and modernize the SAP application landscape.\nThe ideal candidate will combine deep SAP technical expertise with strong leadership, solution design, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. This individual should be comfortable remaining hands-on while providing technical direction, influencing solution architecture, mentoring teams, and helping shape the future of Agilent’s SAP technology landscape.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent.\n8+ years of SAP technical experience, including strong hands-on experience in SAP development, technical solution design, and architecture.\n3+ years of leadership experience, providing technical direction, mentoring team members, driving solution design, and coordinating SAP development teams and delivery partners.\nStrong hands-on expertise in SAP ABAP, ABAP Objects, enhancements, interfaces, reports, forms, workflows, IDocs, APIs, OData services, and CDS Views.\nStrong experience working with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.\nStrong understanding of SAP technical architecture, integrations, development standards, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.\nExperience reviewing technical designs and code and establishing development standards and best practices.\nExperience collaborating with functional teams, solution architects, integration teams, business stakeholders, and external implementation partners.\nDemonstrated ability to lead and mentor geographically distributed technical teams.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with SAP S/4HANA transformation, migration, upgrade, or modernization programs.\nExperience with SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, Fiori/UI5, RAP, and modern SAP extensibility approaches.\nKnowledge of SAP Clean Core principles, side-by-side extensibility, and custom-code optimization.\nExperience with SPDD/SPAU and SAP custom-code remediation as part of upgrades or transformation programs.\nExperience working within a large, complex, global SAP environment.\nExperience leading or coordinating onshore/offshore teams and external implementation or support partners.\nRelevant SAP certifications in ABAP, S/4HANA, BTP, or related SAP technologies are preferred but not required.\nAdditional Details\nThis job has a full time weekly schedule.
