Apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. Machines parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, shapers, or grinders. Reads and interprets machining instructions, job orders, and blueprints to determine dimensional specifications, sequences of operations, setups, and tooling requirements. Selects and sets cutting speeds, feed rates, depths of cuts, and cutting tools according to machining instructions or knowledge of metal properties\n25% Ensures the efficiency and quality of parts by checking accuracy to meet specifications; performing preventive maintenance on equipment and maintaining inventory; adhering to ISO and FDA regulations. Measures, examines, ensure conformance to specifications through use of measuring instruments such as; calipers, micrometers, and fixed or telescoping gauges.\n10% Maintains a safe working environment by attending safety training; turning off and locking out equipment not in use; cleaning and maintaining a clean work area\n5% Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
