With industry-leading safety standards and years of proven deployment data, we're pioneering a new era of automation that enhances human potential.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Buyer II, you will independently manage procurement execution across assigned suppliers and commodities while ensuring material availability to support engineering builds and production. You will serve as the primary point of contact for supplier execution activities and proactively manage delivery performance, shortages, and supply continuity.\nThis role will primarily support electronics commodities including custom printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), cable harnesses, sensors, connectors, and related electronic assemblies. You will work closely with Global Supply Managers (GSMs), Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Finance to ensure procurement activities are executed effectively and supplier commitments align with business needs.\nThis role requires strong procurement execution skills, supplier management experience, and the ability to independently manage procurement priorities and supplier performance in a fast-paced hardware environment.\nAbout the Work\nManage all purchase order activity for assigned suppliers, including creation, revisions, confirmations, and delivery management.\nOwn supplier communications related to delivery schedules, shortages, push-in/push-out requests, engineering changes, and recovery plans.\nMonitor supplier performance and proactively identify supply risks before they impact engineering builds or production schedules.\nMaintain ERP/MRP data accuracy including pricing, lead times, supplier records, order status, sourcing information, and procurement parameters.\nSupport request for quotation (RFQ) activities and supplier quote analysis to assist Global Supply Managers (GSMs) with sourcing decisions and cost reduction initiatives.\nDrive tactical cost savings through supplier engagement, quote comparisons, pricing analysis, and identification of commercial opportunities.\nCoordinate material readiness for prototype, engineering validation, and production builds.\nPartner with Planning and Manufacturing teams to resolve shortages and material availability issues.\nTrack long-lead materials and work closely with suppliers to ensure supply continuity and schedule alignment.\nSupport supplier onboarding activities and ensure suppliers meet procurement process requirements.\nResolve invoice discrepancies, shipment issues, receiving concerns, and supplier-related execution challenges.\nProvide timely updates to cross-functional teams regarding supplier commitments, shortages, material availability, and delivery risks.\nSupport new product introduction (NPI) activities through proactive procurement planning and supplier coordination.\nAbout You\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or practical equivalent experience.\n4+ years of purchasing experience in hardware, manufacturing, robotics, automotive, aerospace, or similar environments.\nExperience purchasing custom printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), cable harnesses, sensors, connectors, or other electronic components and assemblies strongly preferred.\nExperience working with electronics manufacturing services (EMS) providers and contract manufacturers preferred.\nStrong understanding of procurement execution, supplier delivery management, and material planning processes.\nExperience supporting prototype, NPI, and production build activities.\nStrong command of ERP/MRP systems (Windchill, MISys, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.).\nStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to independently manage suppliers, competing priorities, and aggressive timelines.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to build positive relationships with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.\nHigh sense of urgency, accountability, and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.\nLocation \nThis is an onsite position at our Salem office.\nThe final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Agility Robotics is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions who work in other locations.
