With industry-leading safety standards and years of proven deployment data, we're pioneering a new era of automation that enhances human potential.\nAbout The Role\nThe Manager, Mechanical Engineering will both manage mechanical engineers and will be a technical leader who works closely with cross functional teams to drive the successful execution of the robot design.\nAbout The Work\nLead and inspire a talented team of 4 - 8 mechanical engineers to bring products from concept all the way to production. \nProvide coaching, mentorship and guidance, helping the team enhance their skills, improve the quality of their work, and grow professionally.\nWork cross functionally to anticipate and remove roadblocks.\nBe a technical leader for complex robotics systems. \nDevelop right-sized process to help the team work more effectively and to produce high quality, reliable designs. \nRegularly communicate project progress, key milestones, and any challenges that arise to senior management.\nReduce complexity by pushing for simple and elegant designs.\nDrive data-driven decisions and ensure the cross functional team understands the “why”.\nAbout You\nDemonstrated extreme ownership, thrive in ambiguity, fast paced environment\n8+ years of mechanical design experience with 2+ years direct management experience\nB.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent, minimum requirement)\nProven experience designing and building complex systems, ideally with a background in robotics or autonomous systems\nDemonstrated experience mechanical design, CAD and PDM\nSkilled in conflict resolution and team development\nAbility to be on-site at Agility’s design facility as needed (minimum 4 days per month and as needed to support design activities, reviews, prototype testing, etc.)\nAuthorization to work in the USA\nBonus Points\nRobotics experience and leadership in a robotics organization\nAdvanced degree in engineering or science or robotics\nJira/Confluence experience\nPLM and PDM experience\nCreo experience\nLocation\nThis is an onsite position at our Fremont, CA office.\nThe final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Agility Robotics is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions who work in other locations.
