With industry-leading safety standards and years of proven deployment data, we're pioneering a new era of automation that enhances human potential.\nAbout The Role\nThis role will influence the design of the next generation of Digit, aimed at meeting customer needs at a commercial scale. The PCB Layout and Interconnect Engineer will help drive the robot design and will develop robust and reliable electronics for this and future robot generations. Collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers is essential to understand product requirements and ensure designs are robust, safe, and production-ready.\nAbout The Work\nThe PCB Layout and Interconnect Engineer’s responsibilities include:\nExecuting complex, multi-layer printed circuit board layouts using Altium Designer to create PCB engineering deliverables for release.\nDesigning system cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and interconnect schematics based on mechanical and electrical constraints.\nEstimating duration of work efforts to contribute to project schedules.\nImplementing PCB layout solutions and/or harness solutions to improve emissions mitigation, power dissipation, test, manufacturing, and assembly test (DFM/DFA).\nExecuting PCB layout or harness design and release checklists and presenting your design at cross-functional design reviews.\nCollaborating closely with Mechanical Engineering to define board outlines, connector placement, keep-out areas, 3D harness routing through robotic assemblies, etc.\nPartnering with PCB fabricators, assembly houses, and cable harness vendors to resolve technical queries and support production.\nAbout You\nCandidates should possess the following qualifications:\nA Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).\n5 or more years of PCB layout and cable harness design experience.\nDeep experience with Altium Designer (for PCB layout) and 3D ECAD/MCAD integration.\nExperience with complex layout constraints including high-speed differential signaling, impedance control, and power electronics.\n3D visualization capabilities to imagine and optimize space constrained circuitry and harness routing in challenging mechanical and thermal environments.\nStrong understanding of IPC standards for PCB fabrication/assembly and wire harness assembly (IPC-620).\nCable harness design specifically using Altium Harness.\nFlex and rigid-flex circuit design.\nComponent footprint and symbol generation/management in Altium.\nMust thrive in a highly dynamic environment with rapidly evolving requirements, tight schedules, and enjoy building collaborative relationships on a daily basis.\nAuthorization to work in the USA\nBonus Points\nCandidates with more of the following will be more highly regarded:\nExperience with Altium Multi-board design and system-level connectivity.\nProficiency using Altium CoDesigner for seamless ECAD/MCAD synchronization.\nKnowledge of HyperLynx for Signal Integrity (SI) and/or Power Integrity (PI) analysis.\nFamiliarity with PTC Creo for mechanical integration and clearance checks.\nAdjacent engineering disciplines (schematic entry, firmware, mechanical, test).\nProject management tools experience (especially using Jira).\nLocation\nThis is a fully remote role with the option to work hybrid if a commutable distance from our Salem, OR, Pittsburgh, PA, or Fremont, CA offices. Candidates should anticipate regular travel to Salem, Oregon, or Fremont, California, averaging 1 week per quarter over a year, with bursts of extended stays in Salem or Fremont during critical project phases.\nThe final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This range may change based on geographical location and may be modified in the future.\nAnticipated Salary Range\n$137,000—$179,000 USD\nIn addition to base pay, our competitive total rewards package consists of the following for full-time employees:\n 401(k) Plan: Includes a 6% company match.\nEquity: Company stock options.\nInsurance Coverage: 100% company-paid medical, dental, vision, and short/long-term disability insurance for employees.\nBenefit Start Date: Eligible for benefits on your first day of employment.\n Well-Being Support: Employee Assistance Program (EAP).\nTime Off:Exempt Employees: Flexible, unlimited PTO and 12 company holidays, including a winter shutdown.\nNon-Exempt Employees: 10 vacation days, paid sick leave, and 12 company holidays, including a winter shutdown, annually.\n\nOn-Site Perks: Catered lunches four times a week and a variety of healthy snacks and refreshments at our Salem and Pittsburgh locations.\nParental Leave: Generous paid parental leave programs.\nWork Environment: A culture that supports flexible work arrangements.\nGrowth Opportunities: Professional development and tuition reimbursement programs.\nRelocation Assistance: Provided for eligible roles.\nAnnual Discretionary Bonus: Provided for eligible roles.\nAll of our roles are U.S.-based. Applicants must have current authorization to work in the United States.\nAgility Robotics is committed to a work environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.
