The Mechanical Designer is broadly responsible for development of the 3D Model and 2D drawings while participating in model design reviews and milestone reviews.\r\nThis is an in office Monday - Friday. \nTotal rewards:$89000.00 - $138000.00 annually\nBuild a Rewarding Long-Term Career\nWork with one of Canada's Top 3 Engineering Firms\r\n\nPension\nBonus Program\n\nA typical day:Work independently to apply design principles for 3D models and 2D mechanical equipment, piping layout or general arrangement drawings of industrial buildings and processes.\nWork collaboratively to share the results of your work with senior members of the discipline and/or other Hatch groups.\nUse vendor data, drawings, and information to develop and verify the model.\nCreate and maintain check sheets for all equipment as vendor data is received. Back model all changes as required.\nPerform clash detection of models with other discipline models.\nParticipate in operability and maintainability reviews, walkthroughs.\nInterface with multidisciplinary teams to ensure overall design intent is in accordance with the mechanical and layout design criteria.\r\n\nWillingness and ability to travel and work in other Hatch offices or project work sites (including remote sites) as needs and opportunities arise.\n\nSuccessful candidates will have:Minimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy industrial design and layout.
