Do you want to make an impact in a company that puts Africa at the heart of its project?\nJoin AGL, the leading multimodal logistics operator on the African continent!\n Job description\n Job Title\n FREIGHT FORWARDING OPERATIONS\nCLIENT OPERATIONS MANAGER M/F\nContract Type\n PERMANENT\nJob Location\n Africa, Kenya, MOMBASA\nWorking Hours\n Full time\nMission Description\n The Client Operations Manager will coordinate the efficient receipt, inspection, documentation, and handover of all cargo arriving at site while ensuring compliance with operational, quality, and HSE standards. \n1.Cargo Receiving & Inspection\nReceive all incoming cargo and verify delivery documentation against the physical shipment to ensure accuracy and completeness.\nInspect cargo for quantity, condition, packaging integrity and correct labelling before acceptance.\nIdentify, document and immediately report shortages, damages, incorrect deliveries or any cargo discrepancies to the Site Operations Supervisor and client representatives.\nEnsure all received cargo is accurately recorded, tagged and transferred to the designated storage or operational area. 2. Truck Inspection & HSE Compliance\nInspect all vehicles arriving on site to verify compliance with site access requirements and operational standards.\nVerify vehicle condition, load security, lashing quality and overall cargo safety before offloading commences.\nConfirm compliance with PPE requirements and site safety procedures by drivers and transport personnel.\nReport unsafe conditions, non-conformities, near misses and incidents promptly to the Site Operations Supervisor and QHSE team. 3.Offloading Coordination & Site Operations\nCoordinate truck arrivals and offloading schedules with clients, warehouse personnel and operations teams to optimize turnaround time.\nLiaise with the Control Tower and Track & Trace Officer to align vehicle arrivals with site readiness.\nMonitor offloading activities to ensure cargo is handled safely and efficiently.\nEscalate delays, congestion or operational bottlenecks that may affect service delivery. 4 Reporting & Documentation\nMaintain accurate daily records of truck arrivals, departures, cargo received and operational activities.\nPrepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly receiving reports within agreed timelines.\nMaintain organized records of delivery notes, inspection reports, discrepancy reports and receiving documentation for audit purposes.\nEnsure all receiving information is accurately captured in company systems and records 5.Operational Performance & Continuous Improvement\nMonitor receiving performance and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and cargo accuracy.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives relating to receiving, cargo handling and reporting processes.\nParticipate in operational review meetings by providing receiving statistics and performance updates.\nPromote compliance with company policies, operational procedures and quality standards.\n Profile\n Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Warehousing or a related field.\nMinimum 2-3 years' experience in cargo receiving, warehousing, logistics or transport operations.\nCertificate in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.\nExperience in oil & gas, industrial logistics or project cargo operations is an added advantage.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and
