(Relocation Provided) \nWe are looking for a Korean Linguist and Localization Expert to join our team and help improve localization of multiple Agoda products. Join our international team in a beautiful central Bangkok location and work in a fun and fast-paced environment! \nResponsibilities: \nMonitor the quality of translated content across all customer-facing channels such as site updates, hotel content, press releases, travel articles, promotional emails and newsletters \nCollaborate closely with internal teams and vendors to meet deadlines and quality expectations \nMaintain localization assets such as style guides, glossaries, and translation memories \nSupport urgent translation requests as needed \nConduct product reviews for inconsistencies and localization issues \nLead arbitration reviews when required and escalate recurring issues to managers to maintain an LQA score above 90% \nEvaluate, onboard, and manage translation vendors and freelancers, including the invoicing process \nImprove AI prompt engineering to generate better translation output for the Korean markets \nSupport research and content experimentation to improve content performance and user engagement. \nParticipate in training initiatives related to specific ownership areas led by other Language Experts \nProvide cultural and linguistic guidance for the Korean markets \nPromote localization best practices by participating in translation quality audits and benchmarking activities. \nDesired skills and experience: \nNative-level fluency in Korean, with exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, and a strong command of grammar, tone, and style. \nBachelor’s degree or higher in Linguistics, Translation, Korean Language, Literature, or a related field. \nProven experience in translation and localization, ideally in a professional setting, with hands-on experience using CAT tools such as MemoQ, or similar platforms. \nStrong proficiency in English, with the ability to accurately understand source content and adapt it naturally for Korean-speaking audiences. \nExcellent internet research skills, with the ability to verify terminology, cultural nuances, and market-specific language usage. \nHighly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. \nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. \nExperience in the travel, hospitality, or e-commerce industry is an advantage, particularly with customer-facing or marketing content. \n #Bangkok #Seoul #Busan #Incheon #Daegu #Daejeon #Gwangju #Ulsan #Jeju City #Suwon #Jeonju\n\nPlease review our Hiring Process Guidelines before your interview - click here to learn how interviewing at Agoda works.\nDiscover more about working at Agoda\nAgoda Careers https://careersatagoda.com\nFacebook https://www.facebook.com/agodacareers/\nLinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/company/agoda\nYouTube https://www.youtube.com/agodalife\nEqual Opportunity Employer \nAt Agoda, we pride ourselves on being a company represented by people of all different backgrounds and orientations.
