Our scope includes shared model access, agent platforms, internal assistants, product tools and AI coding workflows. Based in Singapore, you will work with engineers and stakeholders across Agoda, including teams in other locations.\nThe Opportunity\nAs a Staff Software Engineer, you will design, build and run GenAI services, agents and applications that solve practical problems for Agoda teams. You will own delivery end-to-end - from understanding user needs and selecting a technical approach, through testing, release and production support. Your project focus will depend on your strengths and business priorities, and you will work with product, data and engineering partners to deliver agreed outcomes.\nWhat You Will Do\nDesign, build and run GenAI services, agents and applications that solve practical problems for Agoda teams.\nOwn the delivery lifecycle: understand user needs, select a technical approach, and support testing, release and production operations.\nImprove AI quality, reliability, latency and cost using evaluations, monitoring and user feedback.\nBuild reusable APIs, tools and integrations with appropriate access controls and data protection.\nLead technical design discussions, make engineering decisions, and help other engineers improve their code and designs through constructive feedback.\nWhat You Will Bring\nAt least 8 years of professional software-engineering experience, including delivering and operating complex production systems.\nAt least 5 years of experience coding in one of the following modern programming languages: Python, Java, Kotlin, Scala, Go, C#, or TypeScript.\nHands-on experience building GenAI applications, agents, platforms, or AI-agent-serving systems, with demonstrable examples of your contribution.\nExperience designing, testing and shipping reliable software through CI/CD, including debugging and resolving production issues.\nDemonstrable examples of AI problem solving and of owning cross-functional team projects.\nAbility to communicate effectively in English with stakeholders across international teams\nIt is Great if You Have\nExperience with retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, agent orchestration or automated AI evaluation.\nExperience evaluating agentic solutions.\nDepth in one area such as distributed systems, frontend and full-stack applications, data pipelines, developer tools or ML infrastructure.\nExperience with containers, Kubernetes, observability, privacy controls, or improving AI quality and operating costs.\nThis role does not offer visa sponsorship or relocation assistance.
