He will develop sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and implement processes that reduce costs and improve reliability. This position also requires the ability to step in as a backup for the Maintenance Supervisor when needed.\nManage procurement of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) parts and services, ensuring timely availability for planned jobs.\nDevelop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives:\nIdentify alternative suppliers, reverse engineering opportunities, and local fabrication options.Optimize OEM vs. ODM purchasing strategies to reduce costs without compromising quality.\nDrive inventory optimization:Maintain accurate CMMS data, BOM updates, and stock levels.\nImplement automatic reorder processes and reduce obsolete/non-moving parts.\nConsolidate inventory and standardize components to minimize complexity.\nNegotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers to achieve best value.\nCollaborate with Maintenance and Reliability teams to support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.\nOversee storeroom operations in partnership with the Stores Clerk, ensuring proper receiving, kitting, and inventory control.\nAct as backup for Maintenance Supervisor when required, ensuring continuity of operations and compliance with safety standards.\nPromote continuous improvement by identifying cost-saving opportunities and process enhancements.\nUnderstand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.Safety ProtocolStop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.Correct or report any observed safety hazards.Support safety policies and programs.\n‘The type of team player who fits in:’\nCollege or university degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance, or related field required.\nEquivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.\nMinimum five (5) years in procurement and inventory management, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment required.\nA role for those who know that the best results are built through teamwork.\nAgropur welcomes people from all backgrounds and origins.
