Being part of the team means committing to an environment where everyone’s impact truly matters.\nAt Agropur, accountability means owning challenges and taking concrete action to achieve results.\nAn environment that empowers you to take action:\nStarting wage 30.55$/h\nSchedule: Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM\nThis is a temporary position expected to last approximately one year.\nWhat you’ll be responsible for each day:\nEnsure that all practices are conducted in a food safe manner and any food safety and quality issues are reported to QC Supervisor/ Manager\nTesting of all raw and finished products, water testing, environmental swabbing, air testing etc, escalate non-complying results to Supervisor/Manager\nIdentify and troubleshoot non-complying results and report to QC Supervisor/ Manager\nPerform routine lab assignments such as sample collection and delivery arrangement, quality and organoleptic checks, sanitation inspections, and conducting physical and microbiological testing and analysis from raw to finished product, creating, sending and verifying CoA’s\nOperate and maintain basic laboratory equipment (ie. Scale weights, pH meter, TA, Brix, Cryoscopy, autoclave, Fat analyzer etc.) including equipment verification and calibration activities and routine lab cleaning\nPerform daily verification tasks for scales, temperatures, sanitizers\nData entry and validation\nReview production records daily to ensure completeness and compliance\nMonitor GMP practices of plant personnel and provide training of quality requirements and procedures\nPerform internal inspections/audits, create cleaning/action lists based on results, follow up on lists\nAllergen testing and appropriate record keeping\nComplete daily shift reports capturing lab activities, upcoming tasks, non-conforming results etc.\nControlling “ON HOLD” and “RELEASE” mechanisms, extra testing and rechecks as needed\nHelp implement procedures to maintain food safety, quality and food defense.\nAttend daily meetings and speak to Non-Conformities, Updates to programs, Hold and Release, as well as Customer Complaints.\nCheck for, review, and complete work orders as needed\nThe individual who will own this role:\nBachelor’s Degree in a related science or a Diploma in Food Science and Technology\nExperience in a food production facility and/or micro laboratory setting\nStrong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices\nMust be able to consume dairy products and not have any dairy allergies or intolerances\nAbility to detect trends in data and react to make immediate corrections\nKnowledge of SQF, GMP and HACCP are considered an asset\nStrong Excel and computer skills\nExcellent communication skills in English, written and spoken\nAttention to detail and accurate reporting\nMust be able to work in a team or independently, in a fast-paced environment\nMulti-tasking and good time management required\nAbility to problem solve\nAbility to carry up to 20 kg and stand for long periods\nAn environment that values engagement and encourages everyone to take initiative.\nAgropur welcomes people from all backgrounds and origins.
