The Maintenance Technician performs repairs as needed by the department, troubleshoots processes, manages and administers the preventive maintenance program, and assists with machine set ups and rebuilds as needed.\nEfficiently perform regular and preventative maintenance related to the plant, equipment, and grounds in compliance with standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, and safety policies as enforced by OSHA. \nProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment during the production process as needed. \nPrepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.\nEffectively perform and assist in repair or updating and installation of equipment.\nPerform troubleshooting of equipment, including both electrical and mechanical systems.\nComplete and update work orders using in-house systems.\nComplete and maintain routine and preventive records and logs. \nWorks closely with production to minimize downtime while maintaining quality.\nPerform buildings and grounds maintenance/up-keep as needed; including snow removal, changing light bulbs and filters, etc.\nMaintain a working knowledge of all plant area processes.\nAccurately read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.\nEffectively perform electrical wiring (switches, outlets, starter, motor leads, etc.).\nEffectively communicate with crew from previous shift and with the crew of the following shift.\nThe profile that shares this sense of contribution:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred.\nTechnical school coursework/Degree in boiler, welding, electrical, HVAC maintenance preferred.\nEquivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.\nMinimum two (2) years of maintenance/repair experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.\nMechanical and electrical aptitude required.\nA role with purpose and lasting impact.\nAgropur welcomes people from all backgrounds and origins.
