This position will start up and shut down the plants molding machines in preparation for sanitation and production. This position utilizes Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP’s), the Master Sanitation Schedule and Housekeeping lists to clean and sanitize identified areas.\nAdhere to all Agropur policies, work rules, safety rules, housekeeping and GMP’s.\nEnsure proper chemicals and protective equipment are used per standards at all times.\nClean all equipment per Agropur and regulatory standards.\nEnsure the Cooker, Brine system, tubs and plant floors are cleaned daily following the proper SOP’s.\nProperly chart/document all cleaning activities as applicable.\nEnsure all tools and cleaning equipment are put in proper place after each shift.\nAssist the production operator during product change over, and with clean-up of molders or Sting, parts and forms.\nBrine SystemEnsure the brine system is running and balanced properly.Adding salt and water as needed.\nTransferring brine from flume to brine tanks.\nStart up, shut down and CIP of the Brine UF system.\nSelecting and running correct flumes based upon production schedule and equipment needing to run for production.\n\nWeigh and prepare rework.\nProperly dispose of animal feed and garbage.\nUnderstand and comply with all Quality policies, and immediately report any potential food safety issues to management.\nReport any safety, sanitation and/or equipment issues to the Supervisor.\nMoldersEnsure equipment/machinery is operating properly to maintain the quality of cheese to established standards and customer specifications; making adjustments and communicating with Laboratory and Packaging departments as needed.\nAssemble hydra molder during start-up and product changes.\nShut down/disassemble machine at shift’s end.\nProperly set up form on molders, identifying all forms used according to customer specifications.\n\nStringEnsure equipment/machinery is operating properly to maintain the quality of cheese to established standards and customer specifications; making adjustments and communicating with Laboratory and Packaging departments as needed.\nAssemble string extruders during start-up and product changes.\nShut down/disassemble machine at shift’s end.\nProperly set up machines, identifying all parts used according to customer specifications.\n\nOther Duties and Responsibilities:\nUnderstand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.\nSafety ProtocolStop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.\nCorrect or report any observed safety hazards.\nSupport safety policies and programs.\n\nThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.\nThe individual who will own this role:\nEducation Required:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.\nExperience Required:\nNo experience necessary: in-house training provided.\nPrevious safety and sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred. \nChemical training preferred.\nCertification/Licensure Required:\nForklift or Powered Pallet Jack (in-house training provided) required.\nSkills Required:\nCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.\nDemonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.\nAbility to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation.\nFollow one- or two-step verbal instructions; read and follow written instructions; perform routine and repetitive tasks and carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or verbal instructions.\nDecisions administered soundly and consistently with policies and in compliance with appropriate laws and regulations. \nBasic math plus fractions, decimals and percentages.\nBasic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.\nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.\nExhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.\nEqual Opportunity Employer, including Protected Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities.\nWhere you’ll be working:\nOur Little Chute, WI, plant is home to about 140 employees.
