This role requires operating heavy trailers in compliance with UAE road regulations, company policies, and FMCG standards for product handling (including temperature-controlled goods). The driver ensures on-time deliveries, proper documentation, and maintains high levels of safety, hygiene, and customer service.\nRole duty hours:\n6 Day per week, 9 hours shift (based on the business needs) with 1 hour break and Overtime as per the company policy.\nTransportation & Delivery\nOperate company trailers safely to transport FMCG products, Raw Material, etc. to warehouses, Distribution centres, distributors, Customers and retail outlets across the UAE.\nEnsure the shifts duty adherence based on the duty schedule.\nEnsure goods are delivered on time and in full (OTIF) as per daily transport schedules.\nLoad and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage or spoilage.\nDeliver temperature-sensitive or perishable goods under prescribed conditions.\nVehicle Operation, Safety and Compliance\nConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trailers and report any defects or required maintenance.\nEnsure trailers are roadworthy, clean, and compliant with UAE RTA regulations.\nFollow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies.\nUse GPS and route planning systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency.\nDocumentation and Reporting\nMaintain accurate delivery records, logbooks, and mileage reports.\nVerify delivery notes, invoices, and customer acknowledgements.\nEnsure compliance with UAE Emirates wise transport regulations, labor law requirements, and food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, etc.).\nHandle customs and gate pass documents for inter-emirate or free zone deliveries.\nDaily Report & Submit POD’s, Trip Sheet, Vehicle Checklist and Over Time sheet to the Logistic office.\nFleet Maintenance & Operational Support\nAssist in routine trailer maintenance, cleaning, and fueling.\nSupport the fleet team by reporting breakdowns, accidents, or delays promptly.\nParticipate in toolbox talks (TBT), One Point Lesson (OPL)driver safety training, and company awareness programs.\nAdhere to the routine vehicles’ inspections, Tire Inspection, etc.\nCustomer Service & Representation\nCommunicate courteously and professionally with customers and other stakeholders during pickups and deliveries.\nAct as a company representative while interacting with customers and suppliers.\nEnsure courteous, professional behaviour at all times during deliveries.\nReport customer feedback, delivery issues, or complaints to supervisors immediately.\nHow Will You Make an Impact?\nEducation and Experience\nMinimum high school diploma or equivalent.\nCertification in defensive driving or a similar course is an advantage.\nValid heavy vehicle driving license as per local regulatory requirements.\nMinimum of [2] years of professional experience driving heavy vehicles.\nProven track record of safe and efficient driving.\nExperience in goods/materials transportation or logistics is preferred.\nComprehensive understanding of traffic laws, road safety regulations, and heavy vehicle operational guidelines.\nKnowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting for common mechanical issues.\nFamiliarity with GPS systems, route planning, and local/regional road networks.\nProficiency in maintaining accurate trip logs, delivery records, and inspection reports.\nAbility to load, secure, and unload cargo safely when required.\nTechnical Competencies\nCategory 4 Heavy Truck License.\nVehicle Operation.\nSafe and defensive driving skills.\nBasic Vehicle Mechanic knowledge.\nLoad Securing.\nVehicle Inspection.\nGrow with Agthia - For the Better\nAgthia Group is one of the region’s leading Food & Beverage companies, with a growing international footprint.
