This role serves as the primary technical owner of the Next.js and Payload CMS web platform, overseeing the development lifecycle from architecture and implementation through deployment, monitoring, optimization, and ongoing feature development.\nThe role also supports the broader marketing technology ecosystem, including analytics, consent management, integrations, SEO/AIO, automation, and emerging AI technologies, while partnering with Marketing, IT, Security, Legal, and external vendors.\nRoles & Responsibilities\nOwn the development lifecycle and technical roadmap for the Next.js / Payload CMSmarketing website.\n\nArchitect, develop, review, test, deploy, and maintain scalable web applications and CMS functionality.\n\nEstablish development standards, CI/CD processes, environment management, documentation, and release practices.\n\nTranslate marketing and business requirements into sustainable technical solutions and development priorities.\n\nOwn website performance, reliability, accessibility, technical SEO/AIO, security, and overall platform health.\n\nDesign and maintain integrations between the website, APIs, CMS, search, CRM/MAP, analytics, consent, automation, and other marketing platforms.\n\nOwn technical implementation and governance of GTM, GA4, consent management, and marketing measurement.\n\nPartner with Legal, Security, and IT to maintain appropriate privacy, security, vulnerability-management, and data-governance practices.\n\nTroubleshoot complex application, deployment, data, tracking, and integration issues.\n\nEvaluate new platforms and AI-enabled technologies for scalability, security, maintainability, and business value.\n\nManage technical vendors and external development partners while reducing unnecessary dependency on outside resources.\n\nMaintain technical project planning and operational visibility through tools such as Monday.com.\n\nHelp build and eventually lead a dedicated Web & Marketing Platforms function as organizational needs grow.\n\nTechnical Qualifications\n4+ years of professional web development experience, with significant experience using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.\nProfessional experience with Next.js strongly preferred, including modern application architecture and server/client rendering patterns.\n\nExperience with a modern headless CMS; Payload CMS experience preferred.\n\nStrong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, webhooks, and modern web architecture.\n\nExperience with Git-based development workflows, code review, CI/CD, deployment environments, and production release management.\n\nFamiliarity or willingness to work with AI coding tools like Claude Code and Copilot.\n\nFamiliarity with Google Tag Manager (GTM), GA4, Google Consent Mode, and digital analytics implementation.\n\nFamiliarity with cookie consent / CMP platformssuch as Securiti, OneTrust, or similar technologies.\n\nExperience integrating third-party APIs and SaaS platforms into modern web applications.\n\nFamiliarity with search platforms such as Algoliaor comparable search/indexing technologies.\n\nWorking knowledge of technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, accessibility, website performance, and web security best practices.\n\nExperience troubleshooting production applications, integrations, deployments, tracking implementations, and data flows.\n\nFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure, databases, automation platforms, and data pipelines is a plus.\n\nExperience providing technical direction to developers, contractors, agencies, or vendors preferred.\n\nLeadership & Business Skills\nStrong candidates should also be able to translate business and marketing needs into technical requirements, communicate technical tradeoffs to nontechnical stakeholders, prioritize competing initiatives, and balance new development against reliability, security, technical debt, and long-term
