In this role, you will assist with the daily operations of our shipping warehouse while ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. You will lead a team of warehouse associates, delegate tasks, and ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.\nResponsible for the picking, packaging, and receiving of customer order items into the shipping department and shipping those orders in a manner that meets AHEAD's standards for safety, security, quality, and productivity.\nThis is a full-time 2nd shift position, and hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 3:30pm to Midnight CST. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.\nDuties/Responsibilities\nLead a team of warehouse associates, motivating them to achieve and maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy\nHelp Manager identify staffing needs and delegate tasks assigning labor as receipt-stocking-pick workflow dictates\nHelp to oversee warehouse receiving, material movement, and picking of warehouse purchase orders and work orders by actively contributing to those tasks while setting expectations and meeting KPI\nEnsure adherence to safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees\nCollaborate with other departments, such as sales/account coordinators and production staff, to ensure smooth operations\nMaintain and manage accurate warehouse inventory and receipt/picking records including cycle count initiatives and complete stock inventory accuracy\nIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy\nTrain new warehouse associates and provide ongoing coaching and development to the team\nAddress departmental inquiries or requests and resolve any order fulfillment issues\nMaintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained warehouse environment\nAssist with planning and leading departmental and continuous improvement projects\nAssist with troubleshooting and root cause identification for receiving and picking errors and corrective/preventative action initiatives\nContributes to creating, improving, and training on SOPs and Dozuki documentation\nLeading and assisting in 5s implementation, adherence, and audits\nDuties assigned by Supervisor or Manager\nBackup Warehouse Associate 1, 2, & 3 roles\nStrong attention to detail and the ability to follow step-by-step instructions\nAbility to adjust and follow instructions in a fast-paced environment\nContributes to the completing of projects on time, using project management software to manage the projects\nEducation/Experience\nRequired education and experience.\nHigh school diploma and 2-3 years’ experience in a warehouse shipping environment, preferably in a supervisory or lead role\nAbility to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math.\nStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\nProficiency in warehouse management principles and best practices.\nExperience with warehouse management systems (WMS) a plus.\nStrong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills - Microsoft Office Experience required, MS TEAMS experience preferred.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nOperate an electric pallet jack (required) and Stand-Up Reach Truck (preferred).\nPhysical Demands\nThis job operates in a professional warehouse and production environment.\nPhysical Demands (the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.)\nThey are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
