Voice is becoming the primary interface for technology. For the first time in history, we can use natural language to control and interact with our devices, services, and applications, and we’re only at the beginning of the adoption of Voice and Physical AI across industries. Current voice interactions, however, still lack a fundamental human skill: nuanced understanding of audio scenes and environments. Navigating complex auditory scenes, distinguishing between multiple voices, or focusing on a main speaker are all part of the challenge of “teaching machines to hear like human beings.”

At ai-coustics, we’re building the audio intelligence layer and developer tooling to enable more robust and intelligent voice agents and Physical AI applications. Today, Voice AI companies like Perplexity, Retell, LiveKit or AssemblyAI use the ai-coustics SDK to prepare their agents for real-world acoustic challenges. About the role

Developers find us, install the SDK, and start processing audio before we ever speak to them. Thousands of accounts have run audio through our models. Some become customers, but many sit somewhere between a first test and real production use. The opportunity is to identify the accounts with real potential, understand what moves them from testing to paying, and find what makes them grow from there.

You own that journey, from reaching promising developers and teams to converting and growing them. You use product and usage data to decide where to focus, get involved in promising evaluations early, and close startup and mid-market deals. You also experiment with outbound approaches to reach new prospects, identify ways to expand existing customers, and build and test the pricing and operational systems that make the whole motion work.

This isn't a conventional sales role or a RevOps role. It is a job for someone who wants to do both. If you only want to close, this will frustrate you. If you only want to analyse, you'll be uncomfortable when a number depends on you picking up the phone.

Tasks

• Signup to paid - Carry the conversion number. Work out which trials are real, get into the evaluation early, cut time-to-value, and remove what's blocking the purchase.
• Outbound - Own the motion end to end: target lists, sequencing, messaging, cadence, and the tooling. Run experiments and double down on what converts.
• Full-cycle sales - Run startup and mid-market deals end to end: discovery, qualification, technical evaluation, pricing, negotiation, close.
• Expansion and retention - Own NRR. Most start on one model and a fraction of their traffic. Find the next use case, catch the accounts going quiet before they churn, win back the ones that left.
• Account intelligence - Build the scoring layer. Turn usage data into a ranked list, and keep the ICP current as the market moves.
• Rev ops and reporting - Own HubSpot, the funnel model and the monthly numbers. You keep them accurate because we make decisions from them, and everyone from the board down reads the numbers you produce.
• Pricing and packaging - Run experiments on the self-serve tiers: what's in each plan, where the limits sit, what triggers an upgrade. Ship, measure, roll out what lifts conversion.
• AI-native operations - Build agents and automations across your whole role, pipeline generation to revenue operations. We already run this way and you'll extend it.
• Voice of customer - Gather feedback from customer interactions so product knows what to build and marketing knows how to position.

Requirements

• 2-5 years in a commercial role at a startup or scale-up, ideally with an AI, developer, API or infrastructure product, where you carried a number and personally owned part of a funnel. You've worked somewhere growing fast and know what it's like when the playbook doesn't exist yet, the targets move, and nobody hands you a territory.
• You've closed. You can talk about specific deals you won and lost, and what you'd do differently.
• Love data. You can build a funnel in a product analytics tool, interrogate a CRM, write a query to check a hunch, and spot when a number is lying to you. We use PostHog and HubSpot.
• Experiment discipline. You can design a test, judge whether the result means anything, and say so when it doesn't.
• Tool fluency. Claude Code, Codex, Lemlist, HubSpot, PostHog. You're fast on the stack and faster picking up what's next.
• Comfortable with a technical buyer. You can follow a conversation about latency, benchmarks, SDK integration and model behaviour, ask useful questions, and know when to bring an engineer in.
• You sell the way developers buy. Our customers evaluate before they talk to anyone and respond to evidence.
• You use AI daily as an operational tool, not an experiment. You build workflows with it and have opinions about where it helps and where it produces noise.
• Strong copywriting skills and written communication. You're able to A/B test copy and see what customers respond to.
• High agency. You're joining a commercial team still being built, with no established playbook. Your instinct should be to go and find out rather than wait to be briefed.
• Commercial generalist. You're comfortable wearing several hats in a day and don't wait for someone to define the lane.
• Working language is English. German is useful and not required.
• Bonus: you've worked in voice AI, speech or audio before. Not a requirement, but it will shorten your first month. Our customers are building voice agents and the vocabulary is specific. Caring about sound and how it works helps.
