In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimising our organisation’s network and system infrastructure. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our IT environment, supporting the business in meeting its technology objectives effectively.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nDesign, configure, and deploy robust and scalable computer networks, including Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), and wireless networks, in accordance with organisational requirements and industry best practices\n\nAdminister, monitor, and maintain the company’s server infrastructure, including both physical and virtual servers, to ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability\n\nImplement and maintain comprehensive network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and secure access controls, to safeguard the organisation’s data and systems from unauthorised access and cyber threats\n\nDiagnose and resolve complex network and systems issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations\n\nMonitor network performance and proactively identify bottlenecks, performance issues, and areas for improvement to optimise network efficiency and ensure smooth data flow\n\nPlan and execute network upgrades, expansions, and technology refresh cycles to maintain an up-to-date infrastructure capable of supporting evolving business needs\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, IT support, and management, to understand business needs and provide technical solutions\n\nMaintain accurate documentation of network configurations, system setups, troubleshooting procedures, and related technical records. Prepare regular reports on network performance, security, and maintenance activities\n\nImplement and maintain robust data backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability in the event of unforeseen incidents\n\nStay current with the latest advancements in networking and systems technologies, evaluate their relevance, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the organisation’s infrastructure\n\nConduct preventative maintenance on Data Centre systems as per schedule and ensure effective operation of mechanical building systems\n\nQualifications:\n\nAt least 2 years of experience in a similar position\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline;
