As an actuarial intern, you will have a unique 6-month experience to expose into different functions/sections during the internship period.\nKey Responsibilities:\n1) Actuarial Department - Product Development\nMain function of the product team would be to develop new products, review existing product performance and actual operational experience.\nPerforming data analysis and generate product financials through the use of spreadsheet and/or Prophet models\nChecking on IT systems related to product administration\nPreparing data and calculation for experience/claim monitoring\n2) Actuarial Department -Reporting\nThis function is further divided into different sections for reporting under different valuation basis. This function prepares financial reports and projections for both external and internal use.\nPerforming the calculation, data extraction and checking for financial report through the use of spreadsheet and/or Prophet models\nVerification of valuation basis applied in the financial models\nSupporting coding of new products and enhancements of the spreadsheet and/or Prophet models\nPerforming analysis and explanation of results\n3) Capital Management Department\nThe team performs various stochastic and risk-based analysis to support the formulation of business and financial strategies from capital preceptive.\nPerform the calculation, data extraction and checking for stress capital/economic capital reporting through the use of spreadsheet and/or Prophet models\nSupport the testing of various financial strategies and analyzingthe implication on capital position of the company\nPerform control and checking on the spreadsheet and/or Prophet models to ensure the result consistency and quality\nThe incumbent is required to obtain relevant license if the job involves in regulated activities\n Job Requirements:\nUniversity students major in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Insurance or Finance with strong mathematics background\nGood analytical and communication skills\nGood command of written and spoken English\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of Prophet, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) or other computer programming language is an advantage\nBuild a career with us as we help our customers and the community live healthier, longer, better lives.\nYou must provide all requested information, including Personal Data, to be considered for this career opportunity.
