Support, maintain and monitor big data cloud-based technologies and applications including ETL tools, data repositories and databases as well as data pipeline components under Group Application Data Platform against SLAs as agreed with various business stakeholders. Manage the team of data platform support agents to ensure BAU support provided according to SLAs set with various business stakeholders.Key responsibilities\nResponsible for maintaining and optimizing big data cloud-based systems and applications.\nAble to work and implement advanced monitoring and metrics to provide operational rigor and oversight for all levels of business expectation.\nAnalyze and troubleshooting issues related to big data cloud-based systems and applications under Group Application Data Platform.\nDevelop and manage diagnostic and instrumental tools for troubleshooting and in-depth analysis\nContinuously refine and improve of Data Analytics platforms and systems\nMay require standby and work during weekend to meet the critical business reporting timeline and/or data needs Support / Standardize\nEnsure that existing guidelines, standards and best practices are followed and applied to development projects\nTake ownership for issues to reach resolutions to prevent recurrences\nTroubleshoot and resolve production issues under tight deadlines\nProactively identify the impact of potential process changes, integrate new initiatives with existing processes, and ensure that all processes are consistent and fit together.\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managements, business users, expertise from other technical areas, and peers\nAble to work independently and strong problem-solving skill.\n Minimum Job Requirements:\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in IT or other relevant discipline.\nExperience:\n5+ years IT work experience in database platform support role e.g. Platform Engineer, DBA and/or Data Platform Engineer.\nTertiary qualification in ANY of the following: Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or Maths/Statistical\nTechnical skills:\nAzure Big Data Cloud Technologies experience is a mandatory requirement\nSolid understanding and some practical experience in:\n2 years of experience in object-oriented programming languages, like Python, Java, and Scala.\nAdvanced SQL skills and relational database management.\nExperience with Hadoop/MapReduce/Pig/Hive/EMR/Redshift for large data processing\nExperience in managing Data Analytics tools such as PowerBI and Alteryx.\nCloud computing certifications/licenses - Azure certification could be an advantage.\nSoft Skills\nExcellent language and visual skills for producing well-structured technical documentation and operational procedures in English\nAble to communicate English.\nKnowledge on ITIL processes\nStrong customer focus with excellent client engagement, verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to innovate under pressure, analyze complex problems and find solutions.\nBuild a career with us as we help our customers and the community live healthier, longer, better lives.\nYou must provide all requested information, including Personal Data, to be considered for this career opportunity.
