Across our diverse markets, you will take on real-world challenges, collaborate with talented colleagues and turn technology, data and bold ideas into simpler experiences, smarter solutions and positive outcomes for our customers and communities.\nJoin us to create what comes next, grow through new experiences and extend your impact across Asia.\nAbout the Role\nReport to: Manager, Data Engineer\nLocation: Ho Chi Minh\nFunction: Customer and Information Technology\nType: Individual contributor\nTHE OPPORTUNITY:\nWe are looking for a highly driven Data Engineering, Specialist to:\n- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, integration solutions, and data platforms that enable reliable, timely, and trusted data for business reporting, analytics, and decision-making.\n- Support the organization's data strategy by ensuring the efficient ingestion, transformation, storage, and accessibility of enterprise data within the Data Warehouse and data ecosystem.\n- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions that support operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and advanced analytics initiatives.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nData Engineering & Integration\nDesign, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration solutions across multiple source systems.\nBuild and optimize scalable data models, data warehouses, and data marts to support reporting and analytical requirements.\nEnsure data is processed, transformed, and delivered efficiently while meeting performance and availability requirements.\nData Quality & Governance\nImplement data quality controls, validation rules, monitoring mechanisms, and reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.\nAdhere to enterprise data governance, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements in managing data assets.\nSupport data lineage, metadata management, and documentation standards across the data lifecycle.\nSolution Delivery & Stakeholder Management\nPartner with business users, data analysts, data scientists, architects, and application teams to understand data requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.\nParticipate in project delivery activities, including solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.\nTroubleshoot data issues and provide timely resolution to minimize business disruption.\nContinuous Improvement & Innovation\nMonitor and optimize data pipeline performance, scalability, and reliability.\nIdentify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.\nStay current with emerging data engineering technologies, industry trends, and best practices, recommending improvements where appropriate.\nMaintain comprehensive technical documentation and knowledge-sharing materials.\nJob Requirements\n- Education: BSc degree in computer science. Data Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or relevant fields\n- Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role within the life insurance industry or other relevant financial services sector.\n- Experience with Data warehouse: Databrick, Spark.\n- Experience with Business Intelligence: Power BI\n- Expert-level SQL: SQL Server, SQL Databrick.\n- Experience in programming language - Python, Spark\n- Experience with Git source control.\n- Experience with building data models special on insurance domain.\n- Hands-on experience of working with Data projects that have a complete CI/CD system.\n- Experience with ETL tool: Azure Data Factory, Airflow.\n- Ability to influence both technical and business peers and stakeholders.\n- Lead by example - jump 'on the tools' when required to support the team.\n- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.\nThrill: what potential is this position able to move to next level or take the next role?\nBuild a career with us as we help our customers and the community live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.\nYou must provide all requested information, including Personal Data, to be considered for this career opportunity.
