It supports secure technology operations through proactive monitoring, incident response, audit readiness, and operational management of core security tools.In addition, the role drives security awareness and resilience by embedding secure development practices, enhancing data protection controls, and fostering strong collaboration across IT and business stakeholders.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\n1. Data Privacy, Protection & Cryptographic Governance\nEnsure compliance with data privacy and data protection requirements.\n\nSafeguard sensitive data through effective DLP and cryptographic controls.\n\nManage annual DLP recertification, key management processes, and cryptographic standards.\n\nSupport phishing response activities and group-wide phishing simulation exercises.\n\n2. Cybersecurity Solution Advisory\nReview solution designs and provide security guidance for projects and technology initiatives.\n\nRecommend and validate appropriate security controls to ensure secure architecture and application security.\n\nSupport the secure implementation and integration of cybersecurity technologies.\n\n3. Controls Compliance Monitoring\nEnsure adherence to AIA policies, Group Cybersecurity Standards, and BNM RMiT requirements.\n\nProvide required documentation and evidence to support audits and compliance assessments.\n\n4. Security Awareness & Training\nLead cybersecurity awareness and training programmes for Technology and Business teams.\n\nPromote secure development practices and strengthen overall security culture.\n\n5. Security Operations & Tools Management\nSupport and maintain key security tools (e.g. DLP, EPP, WAF, etc.).\n\nPerform monitoring, controls reviews, and operational checks to maintain continuous security readiness.\n\nMinimum Job Requirements:\n1. Qualifications & Certifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.\n\nMinimum 4 years’ experience in cybersecurity, data protection, or technology risk.\n\nExperience in financial services or regulated environments is preferred.\n\nRelevant certifications (Security+, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, or equivalent) are an advantage.\n\n2. Technical & Domain Knowledge\nStrong understanding of application security, cybersecurity technologies, and cloud security environments.\n\nDemonstrated expertise in data privacy, DLP governance, cryptographic controls, and regulatory compliance.\n\nExperience supporting RMiT, BNM regulatory engagements, and IT audits.\n\nAbility to interpret risk data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.\n\nFamiliarity with insurance operations, customer data protection, and secure SDLC practices.\n\nExperience engaging with financial regulators, particularly Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).\n\n3. Personal Attributes\nHigh integrity, accountability, and professional maturity.\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.\n\nEffective communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.\n\nResourceful, independent, and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure.\n\n4.
