AIA is a pan-Asian life insurance group founded in Shanghai in 1919 that operated for decades as the Asian arm of the American insurer AIG before being separated and listed in Hong Kong in 2010. It sells life, health, accident and savings products across eighteen markets in Asia Pacific, distributing largely through a tied agency force of hundreds of thousands of agents rather than brokers, which gives it unusual control over sales quality and customer relationships. Headquartered in Hong Kong and reporting in United States dollars, it is one of the largest listed life insurers in the world by market value.

  • Build and optimise referral, distribution and partnership channels that expand market reach and deliver measurable customer and revenue growth.
  • Partner with Distribution and Marketing teams to design and execute targeted acquisition, engagement and retention initiatives for priority customer segments.
  • Lead the development of customer and partner propositions, working cross-functionally to deliver scalable, compliant and commercially viable solutions.

Successful applications will demonstrate:

  • Degree qualified in Business, Commerce, Strategy or a related discipline, with significant experience in strategic, commercial or growth leadership roles.
  • Proven track record delivering business growth through customer acquisition, revenue generation, retention and market expansion initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing growth strategies that achieve measurable outcomes across diverse customer segments and markets.
  • Strong expertise in building, negotiating and managing strategic partnerships, alliances and distribution channels that create long-term commercial value.
  • Highly developed commercial, financial and analytical skills, with experience preparing business cases, evaluating investments and managing portfolio performance.
  • Skilled at influencing senior executives and stakeholders, leading enterprise-wide change initiatives and driving organisational capability uplift.
