The role is responsible for overseeing software development activities, ensuring technology solutions are delivered on time and within quality standards, while driving engineering excellence, operational stability, and team development.\nThe incumbent will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and technology teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. In addition, the role is accountable for people management, capability development, coaching, and fostering a high-performance engineering culture.\nDelivery Management & Execution\nLead end-to-end delivery of software development initiatives, ensuring projects are completed within agreed timelines, scope, budget, and quality standards.\nTranslate product roadmap and business requirements into executable technical delivery plans.\nManage application development activities throughout the software development lifecycle.\nMonitor project risks, issues, dependencies, and resource constraints, and implement appropriate mitigation plans.\nEnsure compliance with technology standards, architecture guidelines, security requirements, and operational processes.\nOversee application releases, deployment planning, and post-production support activities.\nDrive delivery predictability through effective sprint planning, estimation, prioritization, and execution.\nSoftware Engineering Leadership\nProvide technical leadership and guidance to software engineers across development activities.\nPromote engineering best practices including secure coding, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and cloud-native development.\nEnsure applications are designed with scalability, maintainability, resilience, and performance in mind.\nPartner with enterprise architects and solution designers to ensure alignment with technology standards.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software quality, development productivity, and operational efficiency.\nSupport technology modernization efforts and technical debt remediation activities.\nPeople Management & Talent Development\nLead, coach, and develop a team of Software Engineers and Technical Leads.\nConduct performance management, goal setting, career development, and succession planning activities for team members.\nFoster employee engagement and cultivate a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture.\nIdentify capability gaps and implement learning and development plans to strengthen engineering competencies.\nManage resource allocation and workforce capacity to support delivery commitments.\nSupport recruitment, onboarding, and retention of engineering talent.\nStakeholder Collaboration\nCollaborate with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Project Managers, architects, and other technology teams to ensure successful solution delivery.\nProvide regular updates on delivery status, risks, issues, and dependencies.\nServe as the primary technology contact for assigned applications and platforms.\nWork closely with vendors and external partners to support delivery and operational requirements.\nEnsure business expectations are managed appropriately and technology commitments are met.\nApplication Support & Operational Excellence\nEnsure stability, availability, and performance of production applications under assigned portfolio.\nLead incident resolution, root cause analysis, and service improvement initiatives.\nMonitor operational metrics and implement corrective actions to improve service reliability.\nSupport audit, risk, security, and regulatory compliance requirements.\nEnsure proper documentation, knowledge management, and adherence to operational procedures.\nMinimum Job Requirements:\n Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, computer science, or other related degree.\nMin. 8 years’ professional experience within web, app or technical product management.\nWell versed with the latest innovation in digital and able to transition a vision or an idea into reality within current limitations.
