You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality technology solutions through effective testing leadership, quality engineering, automation, and AI-enabled testing practices.\nReporting to the Practice Lead - Testing, you will be responsible for managing testing demand, resource capacity, vendor and offshore delivery teams, testing governance, and quality outcomes across multiple projects. You will also contribute to the ongoing evolution of AIA's testing capability by driving automation, continuous improvement, Generative AI adoption, and the transition towards an AI-enabled, agentic-first software delivery model.\nThis is an exciting opportunity for a testing leader who is passionate about quality engineering, innovation, stakeholder engagement, and building high-performing teams while influencing quality outcomes across both Technology and Business functions.\nTo Do This Successfully you will\nLead end-to-end testing delivery across multiple projects and programs within a complex enterprise environment.\nDefine and implement testing strategies, governance frameworks, and quality assurance practices aligned to business objectives and risk profiles.\nManage testing demand, resource planning, workforce capacity, and utilisation across a portfolio of initiatives.\nLead and coordinate predominantly offshore and vendor-based testing teams, establishing strong governance and accountability frameworks.\nDrive the adoption of quality engineering practices, shift-left testing, and modern automation frameworks to improve delivery speed and quality.\nChampion the use of Generative AI and agentic testing capabilities including test case generation, test data preparation, defect analysis, test automation, and risk-based testing.\nEstablish meaningful quality metrics, reporting dashboards, and performance measures to support data-driven decision making.\nBuild strong relationships with project teams, technology leaders, architects, delivery managers, vendors, and business stakeholders.\nProactively identify and manage testing risks, dependencies, issues, and remediation plans.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of testing practices, tools, processes, and capability development across the organisation.\nEnsure compliance with organisational standards, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.\nMentor, coach, and influence testing professionals while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nSuccessful Applicants will demonstrate\nPrevious experience in software testing, including as a Test Manager or senior testing leadership role.\nProven experience leading large-scale testing functions across complex technology delivery environments.\nStrong experience managing offshore and vendor-based testing teams and delivering successful outcomes through matrix leadership models.\nDemonstrated expertise in testing governance, test planning, estimation, execution management, and stakeholder reporting.\nA deep understanding of quality engineering principles, test automation, and modern software delivery methodologies.\nExperience with automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, and other enterprise testing solutions.\nPractical experience implementing or leveraging Generative AI capabilities within the software testing lifecycle.\nStrong financial, resource, and capacity management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and delivery deadlines.\nExceptional stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with the confidence to engage senior business and technology leaders.\nStrategic thinking and the ability to align testing outcomes with broader organisational objectives.\nA track record of driving measurable improvements in productivity, quality, automation coverage, and delivery performance.\nRelevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.\nISTQB Advanced Test Manager certification or similar professional certification will be highly regarded.\nExperience within insurance, financial services, underwriting, or claims environments will be advantageous.\nA leadership style that reflects AIA's values of Clarity, Courage, Humanity, and a commitment to doing the right thing, in the right way, with the right people.\nWhy choose AIA:\nAt AIA, we’ve made a promise to help people live healthier, longer, better lives.
