As we continue to evolve our products and embrace AI-native ways of working, we're looking for a Design Engineer to help shape the next generation of our platform. \nThe Role\nWe're looking for an AI-first Design Engineer who combines strong technical capabilities with a solid understanding of product design, UX and usability.\nThis is a hybrid role at the intersection of design and engineering. You'll work on complex, data-rich enterprise software, using modern AI tools to rapidly prototype, iterate and deliver intuitive product experiences.\nWe're not looking for someone who simply creates beautiful interfaces or follows traditional, lengthy design processes. We want someone who thinks systematically, understands how software is built and knows how to leverage AI to turn complex requirements into functional, user-friendly solutions.\nYou'll join a team that has already established an AI-first design system and modern ways of working. Rather than reinventing what's already in place, you'll build on these foundations, contributing to an evolving design system while helping us move towards faster, more iterative product development. \nWhat You'll Do\nDesign, prototype and ship\nTranslate complex business requirements and user needs into intuitive, functional product experiences.\n\nRapidly prototype and iterate on new features using AI-powered tools, getting working solutions in front of users early.\n\nWork closely with Product Managers, Engineers and domain experts to take ideas from concept through to implementation.\n\nBalance usability, technical feasibility and speed of delivery, knowing when to iterate and when a solution is good enough to ship.\n\nDesign for complex, data-heavy workflows where clarity, efficiency and accuracy matter more than visual embellishment.\n\nBuild with an AI-first mindset\nUse AI tools such as Claude, Figma and MCP integrations as a core part of your design and development workflow.\n\nExperiment with emerging AI technologies, agents and workflows to continuously improve how we build products.\n\nApply sound design and engineering judgement to AI-generated outputs, ensuring quality, usability and consistency.\n\nContribute to our design system\nBuild on and contribute to our existing AI-first design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the product.\n\nUnderstand and apply design system principles, including components, design tokens, spacing, layouts, accessibility and interaction patterns.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve components, documentation and AI-assisted design workflows.\n\nCollaborate and validate\nWork directly with users and internal stakeholders to understand problems, validate ideas and gather feedback.\n\nTake a lean, iterative approach to product development, prioritising early validation over lengthy discovery cycles.\n\nCollaborate closely with Engineering to ensure designs are technically achievable and can be efficiently implemented.\n\nContinuously refine solutions based on user feedback, technical constraints and evolving business needs. \n\nWhat We're Looking For\nA hybrid design and engineering background, with hands-on coding capabilities and a strong understanding of UX, UI and usability principles.\n\nExperience using modern AI tools as an integral part of your workflow, with a genuine interest in AI-assisted design, prototyping and development.\n\nStrong systems thinking, with an understanding of how scalable design systems, reusable components and technical frameworks work together.\n\nExperience contributing to design systems, with knowledge of design tokens, component libraries, accessibility and established UI patterns.\n\nExperience working directly with codebases, GitHub and modern frontend technologies, rather than operating solely within traditional design tools.\n\nExperience designing or building complex, data-dense B2B SaaS, enterprise or workflow-driven products.\n\nExperience working in a startup or scaleup environment, where priorities evolve, teams are lean and speed of execution matters.\n\nStrong product judgement and the ability to balance user needs, business requirements and technical constraints.\n\nA curious, adaptable mindset and enthusiasm for experimenting with emerging technologies and new ways of working.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience in fintech, tax technology, compliance or other complex, regulated industries.\n\nExposure to both early-stage startups and larger, more established software organisations.\n\nWhy Join Aibidia?\nBuild the future of AI-first product development: Help shape how AI is embedded into the way we design, prototype and ship software.\n\nSolve genuinely complex problems: Work on sophisticated enterprise software where thoughtful design and usability have a meaningful impact.\n\nMake an impact: Join a lean, collaborative team where your ideas, technical judgement and contributions directly influence the product.\n\nWork with modern tools: Experiment with emerging AI technologies and continuously improve how products are built.\n\nGrow with us: Be part of a scaling international SaaS business that's challenging traditional approaches to tax technology.\n\nBenefits & Perks:\nShare in Aibidia’s success -
