Aidoc assists clinicians by precisely highlighting diseases directly on medical images, preventing misdiagnosis and ensuring that urgent patients receive the immediate attention they need.\nAbout this role\nWe are seeking a Backend Tech Lead to join a Full-Stack team that is part of the group responsible for Aidoc's main product line, the Imaging platform.\nThis team focuses on the radiologist's experience, providing the primary access point to Aidoc's AI. The team manages the application installed on the radiologist's computer and the Python-based Gateway service that delivers data to its endpoints.\nIn this role, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of our backend services, encompassing architecture, coding, and developer mentorship.\nResponsibilities\nLead Full-Stack Development: Lead the design and development of scalable and reliable backend services that power Aidoc's radiologist-facing applications.\nArchitectural Leadership: Drive architectural discussions and make key technical decisions within the team's domain, ensuring high quality, performance, and maintainability\nOwnership: Receive end-to-end ownership for product features from ideation to deployment, and work closely with Product and UX to bring the team’s imagination to life.\nDevelopment Work: Contribute hands-on to the implementation of backend services and occasionally to frontend components when needed.\nMentorship: Mentor and support engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions, promoting technical excellence and best practices.\nIncorporate Best Practices: Champion best practices for code quality, testing, and CI/CD processes to enhance delivery consistency and reliability.\n Strategic Collaboration and Influence: Work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering teams to ensure alignment and technical coherence across the Imaging Platform\nRequirements\n10+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing complex, production-grade systems.\nProven experience building and maintaining backend services end-to-end: architecture, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.\nAt least 2 years of experience in technical leadership - guiding design and implementation within a team or across multiple components.\nPrevious responsibility of mentoring engineers and scaling engineering culture\nDemonstrated ability to lead high-scale, high-quality technical projects, applying best practices such as design reviews and architectural trade-offs. \nDeep understanding of system design, APIs, and distributed systems principles.\nStrong coding skills in at least one modern backend language (e.g., Python, Go, Node.js, Java, C#).\nExperience with cloud environments (AWS or equivalent), containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.\nExcellent collaboration and communication skills; able to lead through influence and example.\nA proactive mindset, strong sense of ownership, and passion for building well-engineered, impactful products.\nExperience and understanding of production monitoring and observability tools.\nAdvantage: Familiarity with frontend technologies and frameworks - able to contribute occasionally across the stack.\nWorking at Aidoc\nOur Perks:\nBe part of something big - using cutting-edge technologies to transform the Healthcare industry (while saving patients’ lives)\nWe work in a hybrid model, with our new offices located at 34 HaMasger Street in Tel Aviv and parking for employees.\nAmazing and healthy breakfasts and lunches prepared daily by our personal chef!\nStocked up kitchen & meal card\nWellness: Aidoc employees-only gym, plus Pilates, Yoga, and functional workouts classes.\nAmazing culture - collaborative, transparent & fun!\nAttractive compensation package & benefits\nAidoc is deeply committed to creating an inclusive workplace, and to the principle of equal opportunity for all individuals.
