This role is responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and maintenance of safety initiatives within an assigned region as well as company-wide programs. The Safety Specialist will work closely with field technicians, operational leaders, and management to strengthen our safety culture, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support continuous improvement efforts.\nThis is a highly visible role that requires regular interaction with employees in the field, conducting jobsite inspections, delivering training, and providing technical safety support. The ideal candidate is passionate about workplace safety, enjoys building relationships, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nSafety Leadership & Culture\nPromote and cultivate a strong safety culture within assigned districts and regions.\nPartner directly with technicians, supervisors, and leaders to positively influence safe work behaviors and decision-making.\nServe as a trusted resource for safety-related questions, concerns, and compliance issues.\nCompliance & Program Administration\nSupport and complete customer safety prequalification requirements and related documentation.\nAdminister and monitor safety compliance training programs to ensure organizational and regulatory requirements are met.\nAssist with the preparation, maintenance, and accuracy of safety records and EHS systems, including:\nOSHA 300 and 300A logs\nOnline safety databases\nIncident investigation files\nInspection documentation\nTraining & Development\nCoordinate and facilitate safety training programs, including:\nOSHA-related training\nLift certifications\nConfined space training\nFall protection training\nConduct safety meetings and support ongoing employee safety education initiatives.\nField Safety Support\nPerform jobsite inspections, audits, and evaluations to identify hazards and opportunities for improvement.\nSupport the development and documentation of:\nPre-Job Safety Surveys\nSafety Audits\nRoot Cause Analyses\nCorrective Action Plans\nProvide technical guidance and recommendations to operations teams regarding safe work practices.\nAdditional Duties\nSupport special projects and company-wide EHS initiatives as assigned.\nPerform other duties as requested by management.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\n2 to 5 years of safety experience in construction, skilled trades, or a related industry where safety was a primary responsibility.\nOSHA 30-Hour Certification (Construction and/or General Industry).\nWorking knowledge of OSHA regulations and reporting requirements.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.\nExcellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and complete projects in a timely manner.\nDemonstrated reliability in attendance, professionalism, and quality of work.\nSuccessful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.\nValid driver's license with an acceptable driving record for positions requiring driving.\nTravel Requirements\nAbility to travel regionally up to 50% of the time.\nOccasional travel outside of the assigned region may be required.\nMust reside within a reasonable commuting distance of a major airport.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBilingual in English and Spanish.\nCHST, OHST, CSP, or equivalent safety certification, or the ability to obtain certification within six months of hire.\nAuthorized OSHA Outreach Trainer.\nPrevious experience in fire protection installation, service, or other construction trades.\nWhy Join Us?\nAt our organization, safety is more than compliance; it is a core value.
